1 cat 1 box, I clean it 3-4x a day normally, I also have 4 ferrets with two litter pans so I just do the cat box every time I do theirs. I don't know, I'm a little anal about it and they are all on raw so there's very little odor anyways but I like it clean and I'm sure they do as well.

I have 4 cats and 4 boxes. I live in MN so don't have the option of taking the boxes outside and hosing them out Nov-April but that is the only way I will do it. I have about 10-12 boxes and when they get dirty in the winter, I empty the dirty litter and dispose and put the dirty empty box in the garage till spring. Yes, I have about 8-10 empty dirty boxes in my garage but I'd rather do that than wash them in the tub. I find deals at the discount stores on those tall plastic storage boxes (usually $2-3) and use those. They also cut down on litter everywhere.

I scoop all the time
. I am just obsessed with keeping the litter boxes clean and scooped for my kids. I dump, bleach and scrub out boxes and change clumping litter every six weeks.

2 cats, 1 big box... and usually every 1.5 days. I aim for every day, but sometimes its easy to forget when it doesn't smell (they are REALLY good at burying. and I keep it pretty deep)

10 cats, 5 jumbo litterboxes scooped 2x/day and wiped with Advanced Nature's Miracle if any messy-messy near the top. Recently bought extra 5 jumbo boxes so when it's time to bleach clean the first 5, I can quickly vacuum behind others, put new, clean plastic dinner mats all around the new boxes and a fresh clean rug in front of each, throw the new box down, fill all with litter - DONE!!

Can take my time cleaning. I use the kitchen sink with a super radical strainer (wearing heavy-duty gloves) while rinsing, then bleach/water rinsing the boxes, putting them outside to air dry as much as possible, then blow-drying them completley. Then washing the extra plastic mats, throwing the extra rugs in with the laundry... e voila!

Bleach is extraordinarily a must if you desire to get rid of bacteria in your boxes, though, that does build up. You only need 1 part bleach to 32 parts water. Toss on some gloves, get a cheapie scrubber and go at it! :-D Very important, indeed. My cats never get sick (I have 6 special needs, but that has nothing to do with the litter boxes).

Fighting for ferals in NW NJ!
We live in an RV so have limited space for boxes. 8 cats, three boxes. I scoop a minimum of 2x a day, bleach the boxes monthy and replace the litter; replace the boxes every six months, and I spray a light coating of Nok Out over the top of the litter each time I scoop. Works like a charm.

To scoop, I use a slotted spoon. It leaves no little pieces of clumpy litter behind at all.

I clean his box out as soon as he goes!

I have two litter boxes for my one cat in the bathroom. After he goes potty and I place his business in the trash, I just pop the bathroom's mini trash can outside my front or patio door to air out his smelly business so I don't have to walk a block to my condo's garbage. Otherwise I would be making 6 trips to the trash everyday and putting more garbage liners in the trash than I have to.

I notice that this keeps my place smelling or rather not smelling at all!! yea!! Especially since he has super smelly poos!

We have 2 cats, 3 boxes and I scoop at least twice a day. Sometimes if I'm running late in the morning, it doesn't get scooped. We change the litter out weekly, but only 1 box each week.

I scoop whenever my cat uses her dirt box. Whether it's 1's or 2's. Then once a week when there's almost no litter in her tray left, I scoop the rest out, and clean the box thoroughly.

I currently have nine cats and seven litterboxes, two of which are extra big. I scoop them once a day and change litter once or twice a week.
I've learned that the more litter I have in the boxes the less they smell and they are easier to scoop (no wet litter sticking to the bottom or sides of the litter box). The litter also seems to last longer when I keep the level in the boxes high.

I have 4 cats. I have 4 litter boxes. I scoop daily and usually clean them out once a week. I'm pretty picky about keeping the boxes clean. Don't want no stinking UTIs
