I had no idea of his passing, but Major Richard "Dick" Winters died on January 2, 2011. As of 2009, there were only around 20 surviving members of E Co., 2d Bn, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment alive from those who served in World War II. Humble about his service, Major Winters will always be a hero to me. Thank you, Sir.

Did not know that. Very brave man and such a hero. May he rest in peace for eternity
