So with my big move coming up with the 10 hour drive, I was wondering if it is okay to fast the cats? I don't want poopy accidents or vomiting in the car. I am hoping to get some opinions on fasting. I was thinking about picking the food up at midnight the night before we are supposed to leave, just like I did when Pandora had to have surgery. The cats would get fed that evening when we get to the hotel we are staying at. (We won't be getting into Portland until the evening, so moving into our new apartment wouldn't happen until the next day). So what does everyone think?

I spoke to my vet this afternoon and she said that it was okay to fast them for my trip and that I should pick up the food before bedtime. She said they can go 24 hours without food. I plan on feeding them as soon as we get to the hotel.

Yeah, but did the vet tell you that not only are you going to get "are we there yet" meows, but now also "feed me Seymore" meow demands?
