Just curious who is under watches and warnings with all the severe weather going on across the country. And concerned that all our TCS family is safe!

It would be nice if we could keep up with each other till this settles down.

I know KittenKrazy's area is getting hit right now. We are expecting severe thunderstorms here tomorrow.

Anyone else? Please check in and keep us updated if you can! I hope all our members are somewhere safe and sound!

we are under a tornado watch most of the night (I think they are saying 11pm) and have been under tornado warnings on and off all afternoon. It has mostly been going around us here in North Knox, but there is still some damage around. This afternoon when I went out to get cat food and tan there were lots of trees down from Mondays thunderstorm which caused lots of damage and has left people without power still! We were lucky in that we didnt lose any trees or our power.
The kitties and I have been hiding out in "the man cave" all afternoon because it is mostly underground and is easier to get them to safety quicker if we need to. The kitties are over exploring the new room (they are never allowed in the basement, but we mostly got the mancave finished and I kitty proofed it this afternoon, and have just been laying on the couch

I am worried about some of my family. They are in Chattanooga and they are reporting 2 confirmed tornados there, and still expecting more. So that they are doing okay!

Glad you guys are safe and have somewhere nice to hang out. Cindy (KittenKrazy) checked in on Facebook and she is safe. Most of the storms are through her area now I guess.

Anyone else?

Over the river and through the woods...
We're under a tornado watch until 2:00am tomorrow, and we were under tornado warnings last night with the severe storms. According to NOAA, two tornadoes started forming around us, but they didn't actually touch down, thank god! Some wind damage and flooding in some areas but not major damage. Those storms were huge though, and we're supposed to get more tonight. Today has been totally strange though. One minute it was sunny and 10 minutes later the sky looked just angry with strange tints, the wind would be blowing like crazy....then still as could be. The cats and dogs are definitely on edge...it's like waiting for the next shoe to drop. I just wish it would storm good and get it over with.

Everyone keep safe!

Oh that would creep me out Hope!! Hope you all stay safe tonight.

DH and I went out and moved our glass top patio table into the garage. We put most of the chairs inside too. And I moved my daughter's outdoor toys right up against the house. They are saying we have the possibility of large hail. The table is new; we haven't even eaten at it yet! So I didn't want to chance loosing that! The chairs are all new too. Hopefully it will amount to nothing; but better safe than sorry! My Grandpa had the same table and forgot to take the umbrella out one night and the wind tipped it and the table shattered into thousands of pieces he said...

I am kind of dreading tomorrow just because of the forecast. The worst for us is supposed to be in the afternoon; ending by 5 or 6. I'm weary of all these severe weather forecasts and reports! Even if I don't live where it's happening; I have friends and family who do!

No damage here minus some small limbs down and a few inches of water in the basement. But that can be dried and repaired. 2 of my coworkers homes had major damage along with one of their cars. And now I am worried because it is headed towards my family in Bristol. hoping to hear from them soon.

Happy to hear y'all are safe. Nothing at all down here in Houston, but I've been watching for the sake of my sister and brother that both got some real nasty stuff cross their path. No home damage though, and everyone was alright.

We were under warnings last night and then it turned to a watch right to the west of us. Thankfully the rotation must have stopped or slowed down considerably because the watch was cancelled. But we were under the threat of severe t-storms all through the night and even into this morning.

As I was on the treadmill this morning, I was watching the lightning show in the sky from the basement window. It pretty much stormed all night and is still raining buckets as I type. Driving to work was interesting...I had the wipers on high and it was still hard to see. My PT Cruiser is a light car and I could feel the gusts of wind as I was driving.

It's supposed to calm down this afternoon as the cold front passes through and that should be it for rain until next Monday. Our weekend is actually supposed to be quite nice.

Everybody stay safe!

Praying for everyone, and their pets, who are part of the terrible devastation. I mostly avoid the news, but because I have friends in that part of the country I read about it this morning and can do nothing but sit here and sob now.

To our friends who live there, please if you can, check in with us.

We were under a warning in atlanta, but thankfully all we got was some serious wind and hail throughout the night.

We are supposed to get heavy t-storms tonight and right now it's very windy. It has been quite warm and sticky the past couple of days and I had to put the air conditioner on. Right now it's getting dark out already but the breeze feels good. When the rain starts I'll have to close the windows and then I may need the a/c again. It's not even summer yet and already it's so uncomfortable.

The storms are just starting to reach my area but seem to be weakening just before they get here. My Mother left work early because one of the cats wouldn't come in this morning. I was going to try to get up there before it hit because that particular cat (Bunny) is my baby! But Mom didn't want me bringing my daughter out at all; so she went home. I guess she'll make up the hours tomorrow.

It's SUPER windy and really dark out...I may open the windows for a bit on the other side of the house. My neighbor's house has been shedding shingles for a while now and I see some have made it to our yard.

I have the girl's kennels in the house ready and waiting and some food and things together for my little one and I. I doubt we will really need to take shelter; but at least it's ready anyway!

The devastation in the South has been one of the top news stories over here (Germany). Yikes! Stay safe, everybody!

We were in the tail end of the warning areas, but thankfully, the worst of it stayed just north of here. We did get a pretty bad storm Monday night which had a tornado warning issued along with it, but the tornado didn't touch down here.

My heart goes out to all those who were affected.
I was watching the weather channel last night, and it was just horrible in some places.
They're saying that this has been the worst tornado outbreak in history.

Many prayers & blessings going out to all those affected.

We have tornado warnings. There has been a tornado spotted about 75 miles from us in another county. The storms are moving east all the time, which means our warnings will be extended into the night probably. The other Saturday, one ripped through our back yard. We still have damage here in the yard that has not been cleaned up from that. I hope everyone stays safe. Let us all remember those who have already suffered terrible loss of life and property.

We were awakened around 1:00 AM with the weather alert radio going off, with a tornado watch, but it wasn't our county. Fortunately for us the worst of it went around us this time. We were lucky last weekend too when the tornados went through North Carolina, we had one tornado about 5 miles from us that killed 4 children. I'm seeing the pictures out of Alabama and other places from the storms that went through today and its just devestating. I know someone who lives in Alabama, I'm hoping that she and her family are okay. My
goes out to everyone who was in the path of these monster storms. I fear this is just the beginning.

A State of Confusion
I made it through unscathed, but it was an interesting night yesterday. I got caught driving home in the big storm Monday night, so I decided to leave early yesterday to avoid a similar occurrence. About 4 PM, I got a message from work telling everyone to take cover because there was a tornado warning for the area. From about 6 PM until 10 PM, I watched the live weather report on TV and they showed one storm after another rolling through the area. A couple of the storms were off the scale on the color intensity.
All of the storms just grazed us though, so no major damage and no flooding. In other parts of the city, there were roads flooded out, trees down, and lots of broken windshields from the hail.

I've had a rental car for the last two days while my car was in the shop. When I was returning it today, I listened to the agents telling caller after caller that they were out of cars and wouldn't have any until at least Monday. Auto body shops, tree removal services and roofers around here will be really busy for a while as well I imagine.

Glade City VA got hit pretty badly. Here is a video a friend posted

I am originally from Bristol TN/VA And this is maybe 10 minutes from where we lived for a long time. Scary to see places you know....
My aunt has a lot of damage to her house, but nothing structural, just windows and siding. My great grandmothers house lost all of the awnings. From what I have heard the rest of my family has made it out with no problems.

I was off work today and drove around a bit and talked to some friends. 3 friends have totaled cars, a couple we are friends with had a tree land on their house, but didnt cause too much damage since it was a smaller tree, and lots of messed up siding.
