So I'm confused as to why Kate will become "Princess William of Wales" and not just "Princess Catherine of Wales"

And as for the Countess and Duchess? I didn't know they get all of those additional names. I don't think Diana did.
Actually I believe they did - both Charles and Diana were given 2 additional titles which I cannot bring to mind at this moment - it was just mentioned on the CBC news coverage.

Kate will NOT be Princess William of Wales since Charles (William's father) is the Prince of Wales and she is not his wife (Camilla is not a Princess either, of course.)

Royal titles are very confusing to say the least.

Haha I'm so confused by the titles. I'm finally back home I actually broke my driving rule. I went 10 over the speed limit instead of just 5 over. Eeeeeek the things I will do for good tv. Can you tell my life is rather uneventful lmao!!

I'm at the point where William and Harry arrived at Westminster. I'm like 20+ minutes behind live tv.

Is it safe to assume that once Prince Charles becomes King that at that point William and Kate will become the Prince and Princess of Wales? Its kind of hard to imagine anyone other that Princess Diana the Princess of Wales.

I didn't know this until I started watching wedding coverage and specials that Dianas funeral was held on my birthday.
turning 13 I obviously didn't have my attention on her but myself.

I am so very glad they waited as long as they did to get married. They are marrying for love not duty.

Watching this almost makes me want a real wedding but the thought of having to dress up that fancified gives me the heebie jeebies. Lol

Ugh I just noticed TLC is on a video sound delay. Its like watching an old asian movie with the karate people having their mouths moving and then 10 seconds later the actual speaking. Arghhh that drives me bonkers lol but what can you do.

Df and I agreed on a courthouse deal jeans and a nice shirt or sweater. We want to go into marraige exactly how we are which is beyond lowkey and private. If I can weasel it noone will be there and at the most it will be my parents, his dad, his brother and gf (my bff) and my brother, sister and daughters. But that's beyond the absolute max noone else.

Hehe i am glad i am not the only person awake spewing my thoughts and emotions while watching the wedding

If it was my choice i would get marrid again very casual and not wear a dress but because it is my fiance first wedding we compromised on my dress, very simple and basic yet a wedding dress still.

Tuned in just in time to see them exchange their vows. She looks extremely elegant. Diana was overdone on her wedding day - way too frilly. Kate's dress, hair, veil, jewelry, etc., are perfect.
