Congratz on your new baby. With kitten season in full swing just about now, you should just get another young kitten about her same age but maybe a bit more like 12 weeks!!!! How exciting... enjoy your new family member

Same age always works well. At that age, you'll have a few hours of hiss and swat, and then probably tumbling, chasing, wrestling, mischief, and hours of cuddled sleeping.

You should get another kitten the same age, or very close in age.

9 weeks is very young to be taken from its Mother. A kitten should remain with its Mom until at least 14 weeks of age. They learn a lot about being a cat during those weeks.

That being said, look for another kitten, one of about 12 weeks or so.

Well, 14 weeks is a little long for most people. Eight weeks is a little young, but even six-week-old kittens usually do OK, assuming a knowledgeable owner takes them in.
