Do you and your family celebrate Easter? If so, how?

I thank the Lord for all the wonderful things in my life first. Think about my mom who was so dedicated to her job as a church organist for 30 years. The spring always brings memories of mom.

Then we are going to my daughters house up by Lake Ontario for a meal with her inlaws. Lots of kids running around, a hockey game will be on.....I am not sure how that fits the Easter mood.

But we will say grace and each one will say what we are thankful for. And then have a lovely filling meal.

Happy Easter everyone!

It was a wonderful service, but then again, my pastor always preaches great sermons. The other pastors do a good job too.

It was very crowded in church this morning. Both overflows were filled! Wish it could be that way every Sunday and not just for Easter and special occasions.

DH and his mother attend church services on Easter (and pretty much on other Sundays as well).

Yesterday, we enjoyed an early dinner and then during the afternoon while my ham and bean soup was simmering on the stove and DH was outside working on powerwashing the fence around the pool, I cleaned out the bathroom closet. And then cleaned in the computer room.

That was pretty much it.

Usually every year we go to mass in the morning and then to my SIL's for a big Easter celebration in the afternoon. BUT, yesterday was spent flying home from Seattle LOOOONG flight and then straight to the kennel to pick up my two dogs then rush home to the cats and then all the work began. So Easter this year, well, was not our usual Easter, but we still said our prayers and thanks to the Lord!!.....
