New pics of the pretty girl - I took her to a groomer for the final comb out to remove all her mats. Next step is a bath as she's kinda....smelly.

She's eating great, still has loose stools but that's probably b/c of food changes, gaining weight, etc. The URI is much better, she can FINALLY purr without coughing/gagging. Her dental is scheduled for Monday May 2nd. I'm nervous b/c of her extreme nose, but they assured me they put flat nosed kitties under anesthesia all the time.

The first three show where her hair is thinning, you can't much tell (thankfully)

I moved a smaller kitty tree into the bathroom for her & she's quite pleased. She can now get up on the counter (she's big on being UP on things), too.

I

Oh, WHAT a FACE!!!

She's looking SO much better, and she's smiling at you!!! I told you she's in the right place - and now she's realizing it, too!!!

You're so wonderful to these kitties.

She's SO friendly it isn't even funny - it's nice to have such a sweet, social kitty in the house!
(Many of mine are here b/c they aren't so social) She's declawed
but I do find it amusing that she'll "sharpen her toes" on the silliest things - my leg, the wall, the cabinet, the toilet, the shower wall - she's just a "paws on" little kitty!

Here's the initial thread I posted. She was very matted when I got her - I spent 3 hours the first night working the mats out & then I had a groomer get the last of them (w/o shaving her). She's just a foster & if I had to shave her it would have deterred potential adopters, seems silly but it does. She's mat free & looking good!

What a beauty!
She looks like a giant fluffy slipper with eyes!!!

I bet she feels loads better without those awful matts ripping at her skin

I somehow don't think you are going to be keeping that girl. I'll wager that there will be a long line-up for people wanting to adopt her.

I'm not too concerned about not being able to find her a home. I have one person I should call once she's ready to go up for adoption, plus three other people who have been e-mailed & may be interested. We're really waiting to see how severe her respiratory issues are once her URI clears up.

Oh I don't think so - I'm not willing to deal with one major problem she has - the hair!

Don't worry, she doesn't even have an extreme nose, even my Scottish Fold has shorter nose than she does and he was just fine when he was under anesthesia when he was neutered (and so were all my other cats which have noses like her, never had a problem).

She's pretty, I'm sure she finds a good home easily.

I'm glad to hear it! She definitely has breathing issues b/c of her shorter nose which worried me, but they aren't too concerned about it being too risky to do a dental for her at the vet clinic. Her back teeth are solid brown, it's quite nasty.

She got a bath last night & hasn't acknowledged my existence since then. She finally came out of hiding for me just a little bit ago & man she looks fantastic! Her hair is so silky soft, doesn't look so "stringy". I'm going to give her another good comb out & have to get some new pics tomorrow.
