If you follow the link it gives you all the cats available, but his name on there is Danny Boy.

He is adorable!

Is he used to Danny boy? Being there a month if he was named early on I would keep the name.

Cute guy tho!

What a cutie!!!

Here is a link to his picture

Does he know the name "Danny"? If so, and you like the name, keep it. It fits the criteria for a cat's name. They don't know names, but they do associate sounds. Two syllables. A hard consonant at the beginning. Then the infamous "eeeee" sound or another hard consonant at the end.

I remember someone from here posting about their cat which they named "Tripod." Cute, but I go for more normal sounding names like you would give to a human child.

Of course, my Spencer wouldn't mind a name sake

One thing to keep in mind is a kitty missing a back leg, can't scratch an itch on that side. So you will need to set up a station for him to use to rub against to scratch those awful ear itches. Mike set up a bottle brush in the corner of one of his cat trees for Trace to scratch

What a handsome fella! If you decide he can adjust to a new name, the first thing that came to my mind was Tripoli -- I've been watching the news about Libya, and I guess the "tri" connection led me there. Whatever you name him, give him a snuggle from me!

I like that name! It kind of sounds musical.

He is a beautiful, very photogenic cat. Congratulations! I know you will both be very happy.

Our 3 legged cat is named Tripod. I let the one of the 3 guys who caught him (yes - it took 3 grown men to catch a 3 legged kitten!) name him because he just seemed to need a name right away. He didn't have anything else, since he was a starving stray kitten.

If I had it to do over again, I would have named him Lionel, after the train, because he purrs so loudly. It might be a good idea to take suggestions now, but wait until you know his traits better before you choose.

What a handsome lil' man.

My 3 legged fella, Trace, kept his shelter name (he was found wandering on Cumberland Trace road), but I just added the surname Tumblebrutus, from the musical "Cats".

Trigg, Tristan

("Tri" for '3')

I'd call him Sundancer, looks like he has the sun dancing in them eyes

Love all the suggestions, but laying in bed last night I think we decided on Milo. Milo found himself in quite a bit of trouble and so has this little guy!!

I would keep his shelter name but he has only been there a few days, he came into the shelter via ambulance and he doesn't really know Danny. They have no history on him what so ever. Other then he came in via ambulance with a severely damaged hind leg, and that he LOVES scratching posts! LOL

The thing is SO cute. He is so sweet and cute and loving!!!! I will be sure to keep you all updated on how he is doing!!

Love the name, and the best thing you can do is change an animal's shelter name. Sometimes bad things come with that name. Give them a fresh start and lots of love.

He is going to get tons!! He was sooooo interested in our daughter, and my other half fell in love with him straight away.

We went to the pet store after seeing him, got cat litter, and saw an 8 week old kitten there, who was in a litter of 3 but the two sisters got adopted while we were there. We felt bad that he would be all alone, and we played with him and what not, but he was not where our hearts were.

Milo really stole our hearts, and he has a permanent place in our home! I just cant wait to go get him and bring him home!!!!

Well then, Milo is going to be a wonderful addition to your family!

Awww, how wonderful for you and Milo!!! He is absolutely adorable!

3 legged cats are also an endless source of amusement. Trace seems to have no idea that he's even supposed to have more than 3 legs, and it's totally amazing the sleeping positions he can get into without having that 4th leg in the way.

That is so true! Tripod is missing a front leg, so he has a hard time covering up in the litter box. It's ok though. Oliver ususally does it for him. He can get to the next-to-the-top level on the cat tree just as easily as Oliver.

They are amazing and loveable!

Trimaran? A play on the play of "CATamaran?"

I really like Carol's suggestion of Tripoli, but Milo's a nice name, too.

Welcome to the TCS family, Milo!

Handsome boy.

Personally, I prefer to make light of a disability with a funny name that makes people smile and thus project positive vibes when meeting him. For the "ee" names, Skippy, Tippy, Gimpy, for a geek perhaps MP3 (Mouser Patrol 3), or TLC (three legged cat).

For a math fan, could call him Isosceles since his legs make a triangle, still a bit "ee" sounding.

Or if you are a Lord of the Rings fan, Legoless.

Edit: Oops, I missed the post that you already decided.
