at our animal shelter!

We have just had a flame point Himalayan and a gorgeous Bengal come in as strays!

Such a shame when cats that *typically* come from reputable breeders end up in shelters. It sickens me to think that these "owners" don't give enough of a damn about these animals to call the breeder and return them as almost all the contracts typically state and dump them off in a shelter where god knows what could happen to them.

I hope they find homes that are more deserving of them then their previous homes were.

Both are still in their hold period, and the owners may come in looking for them.

The Bengal is truly a magnificent cat.

I hope they get adopted soon

I trapped a purebred this week-in shock cause hes so worn and beat why would someone pay that much and then let him go to heck???

Good luck with them!

Mike, if no one claims the Bengal, do you think you might adopt him?

No, I imagine he'll go to a breed rescue. I'm just floored at how beautiful he is! Rosettes and all!

And the flame-point himmy is in rough shape, but looks like he could be a stunner, too.

As someone said, at least the Bengal is a high-dollar cat.

Surely cats like that must be chipped and could be traced?

You would think right...one I got is not even neutered and seems a bit older(few years). He will be scanned at vet day of neuter(hes not to happy so once in cars enough). Not one sign or ad up ANYWHERE near me or the vets

Then bengal sound VERY nice! and some TLC should put the Himmy on the mend

All incoming animals are scanned before they even go into a cage, and if they have a chip, the registered owner is called. If they have a rabies tag, the vet is contacted for an owner's name and contact info.
