Sea-going calico kitty coated with seaweed washes up on Governor's Island in NYC harbor.

I've heard of sea dogs and mermaids, but not water-going kitties. Glad she's safe and has people feeding and caring for her. Bastet must be looking out for her.

Wow, some force sure was watching out for her. Poor Baby!!

I hope someone takes her in and gives her a nice, warm home.

They're saying she may have been washed out to sea by rough weather, but I wonder if maybe she fell overboard from a passing boat?

Or thrown out of a car going over a bridge....

Amazing. I hope she finds a great home. I wish I could take her.

if nobody claims her she will be allowed to meet the public starting may 27

short video at the bottom.

funny scene where it says "restricted area. authorized personnel only" and the plump kitty strolls right in

well i think she belongs to someone. hope they find the right owners. this makes me think this is an extra reason to have lots of pics of your cats, to prove ownership in case something like this happens.

This looks like one of those strange cases where Nature put her right where she belongs. People, food, her own island...

It sounds like she has a new loving home, and is happy to be alive!
