Yah....tell me about it! I do believe Spring has been kidnapped

I agree with you on that. After having over 13 feet of snow this winter (normal) it has been cold and wet. Rain almost every day, but the last snow was in early April. We have had some sleet, but it was above freezing so it didn't stick around. But so far, it has been a very cool or cold spring.

I'd be spitting nickels about now! It's been a chilly and very rainy spring here, too. Our weatherweenies have said that we're at 57% above normal rainfall for this time. We can't do much of anything outside right now.

You know, I'd like to start complaining about it being too hot! Any time now!!!

Oh good grief!!!!

I can't even get out onto my property to clean up the mess left over from winter and some of the high winds we have had from storms. Tree limbs everywhere from the ice storm in early March. Ground is just to wet and soggy. Guess I won't have to worry about running out of water. With all this rain and past melted snow, my well should not run dry

I feel all your pain!!! We've been over flooding stage for weeks now. Behind where I work at is slowly becoming a pond..Behind the place next to us already is.. But I'll take that over the snow anyday.
Today is the first day we've had sunshine in a long time... But it's not warm..

OH MY, is this really Spring??? Where are you Spring?? I am in Seattle right now and it is the same temperatures as Chicago. Cold, cloudy, rainy and about forty degrees!!!!!!

Didn't you guys hear Al Gore's proclamation that global warming causes harsher, snowier and longer than normal winters and cool wet summers in most areas?

At any rate, I am surrounded by water divided by straight lines that are roads. AND there has been no snow for two whole days.

We had a cold snap and it's down in the 60's, which is ... well, probably low normal this time of year. It WAS in the mid-90's on Tuesday, though. Supposed to get up to 85 today, but it's not looking promising, since it's currently overcast and raining.

The "out" for global warming fans is that it isn't just warming, it's change. Maybe. It's changed a lot of times before, so I'm not too concerned. And, as some experts have pointed out, a climate change almost always helps someone as much as it hurts someone else. The mastodons die, but the bison take over.

I feel your pain. My yard is still full of snow. I don't think I will be seeing my tulips until July
post #13 of 22
Holy cow! It's been in the 90s here for the past couple of weeks, and no rain in sight. I'm just afraid of what it's going to be like come "summer" !!

Nasty sight to wake up to in mid April!
It's been very cold and rainy here in Ontario, had a bit of snow last weekend, but I'm still hopeful that it will start to warm up soon.

Ugh! You can keep that over there! It's been windy and cool here, and raining off and on. I haven't looked at the forecast, but I sure hope there isn't any snow coming!
I spoke too soon! The rain turned to snow for about 5 minutes, and now it's back to rain again. I suspect it will be snowing again at some point

I am jealous.

We had snow this week too, after 80* temps the week before! Thankfully we didn't get that much, and it quickly melted the next day

Yes, but what if this time we're the mastodons?

But seriously: calling it climate change isn't an "out" -- it's just a correction. In the early days of concern, it was primarily the ozone depletion at the poles that was being discussed, and that does cause warming (witness the scary-fast melting of the Arctic ice cap), which is why it got that name. But that polar warming, in turn, causes much more complicated changes in climate and weather around the world. Hence the switch from "global warming" to the more accurate "climate change."

We got 10" of snow on Tuesday and thankfully 98% is melted but rain yesterday and this morning plus many days next week and cooler-its going to be a compressed growing season this year. Might as well give up most of my landscaping jobs too (grrrr.)

Yeah, you can keep that in YOUR side of the province! Here in SOUTHERN NB it's all gone. Lots of green happening and while you're getting snow, we get rain. Just had to rub that in.

Keep rubbin it in, Kailie

I am off next weekend so me and a few of the girls decided to go into one of their camps for the night, she checked it out yesterday and unless we have alot of nice, HOT weather this week, looks like we'll be snowshoeing in
