How soon after giving birth does a cat go into heat?

Well, this does depend on the Queen, but estrus can occur ANYTIME while she is still nursing, soooo it could be a week or (which is more likely), about 6-7 weeks. Thing is, that you never know, so if you have a girl with kittens, and don't want anymore, make sure she isn't anywhere near a tom until you can have her fixed.
