Anybody have off work for Good Friday? DH and I both are off. Depending on the weather: if it rains, we will either go to the Green Dragon (a huge flea market/store/butcher, what-have-you, etc.) for the day, followed by dinner at a restaurant somewhere. If it's a nice day, we're going to stay home and work outside.

Easter is going to be quiet for us. Normally everybody comes to our house for Easter dinner, but this year, it's just DH and me. If it's a nice Sunday, we want to be outside working most of the day. Mom asked me yesterday what we were doing for Easter and when I told her, she seemed very surprised. She thought we'd be doing the big dinner, but DH and I don't feel like it this year. I told her that we'd take some dinner up to her so she's fine with that. (She can't come here that often anymore because it's too difficult for her to get up our stairs to the living room.)

DH will go to church with his mother and then I'll have dinner ready for when he gets home. I think we're just going to have a small raspberry-glazed ham with a sweet potato casserole, corn pudding, fresh yeast rolls and a green salad with mandarin oranges and pecans. Dessert will be a simple strawberry pie. Nothing big, nothing exotic. We can have dinner and then get some work done. Hopefully the weather will cooperate.

What will you be doing?

I have 3 boys ages 9, 8 and 5 so of course our weekend is filled with easter eggs and loads of chocolate!

I really don't know what's going on for dinner, we'll either head to hubby's parents place or they'll come here

Either way good food will be involved

We both have to work.
My family is having a potluck dinner on Saturday, but I'm undecided if I want to go or not and then Monday is dinner with Dana's family.

My daughter has graciously offered to open her home for the whole family on Saturday. We all bring part of the dinner which takes the workload off the hostess. Probably will go to SO's daughter's place for dinner on Sunday and her husband is a chef so the food is always awesome!

If I have any time left I'm going to try to hit the All About Pets show in Toronto.

I'm playing all the services from Holy Thursday on...so I will be in church pretty much the whole weekend. Friday after good friday service my family is getting together to dye easter eggs since my sis is coming in that day with her 2 year old daughter
(my godchild) Then Sat I promised my friend I would go clothes shopping with her in the AM before I head to the Easter Vigil Mass at night then Sunday after the two morning services i'm going to my mom's house. DH has to work so it will be just me....but that is ok I am usually asleep on the couch before dinner hits the table!

then next week my school is still on spring break so I can relax at bit!

My poor DH has to work the entire weekend, so I'm hoping for much nicer weather than this weekend was. We have kindly been invited to two different dinners, so I'll be baking up something to bring. I'm thinking of bread rolls, and a selection of dessert goodies.

BF has off on Good Friday, but we don't really have any plans. We don't do the Easter thing really, though if I'm in the mood maybe I'll cook something special. We have a furniture guy coming on Friday too, so we'll have to be home for that. Otherwise, not much else, we'll see how it goes and figure out plans at the time I guess...

I have a paper due on Good Friday and a test
But my parents are cooking lamb, easter bread and lamb shaped cake on Saturday, not to mention the easter candy I look forward to...
Alas getting in shape for my vacation will not go so well

The kids have both days off school. Normally Dh would have the monday off. He is off work because he is hurt. Of course there will be Easter baskets full of goodies. I will be cooking Ham and cheesy scalloped potatos all of the yummy things that go with that. We usually have an easter egg hunt at the park in front of my house. This year is going to be different, unfortunately several of the neighbour families have split up. Nasty stuff going on so I think it would be better if we skipped it.

Dont have Friday off, and will probably spend the weekend at home with the hubby and kitties. As far as I know there have been no plans made by either family. Maybe if I'm feeling up to it, I'll cook a ham and invite my inlaws over.

I usually work Good Friday--my co-worker does church stuff that day, and it's very important to her--so I let her have that day off (I can take it later, if I work that day).

We're not doing anything for Easter this year--not that we ever do. I usually make a special meal for DH & I, but his birthday is on Saturday, and I'm focusing on manking a special dinner for him then. We're just not into Easter. We don't go to church, and I'm diabetic
--no candy for me! I didn't even decorate this year (partially due to getting new kitchen appliances delivered last weekend, and I'd only have to dismantle anything in the foyer in order to do that).

We don't decorate either....I have my ceramic bunny on the hutch with a sugar-spun egg in a basket. But that's it. No candy here....OTHER than a bag of peanut M & Ms that DH will give me tomorrow to devour. It's one of two times a year I allow myself to have a large bag of peanut M & Ms. Good Friday and Christmas.
And I don't share either.

We will be having a day with our daughter on Saturday. She is making a grilled ham, potato salad, bunny carrot cake, and whatever else she decided goes with it. Sunday of course, we will be in church. Everyone have a great day.
