OMG guys, I missed yesterday! My internet access was going in and out and then stopped altogether. Just fire off lots of questions today to make up for it.

What colour socks do you have on?
Grey and blue striped knee socks.

2. What is your favourite EVER smell?
Hmm. The way it smells right before it rains, I think.

3. Do you use candles or incense?
Yes, I use both, especially incense. My favorite incense is really expensive, though, so I've been using kinds I like less lately.

4. Do you paint your nails?
Yes, sometimes. Right now I have red nail polish on.

5. Did you go to college?
Not yet.

6. Do you believe in ghosts?
Not in the covered in a sheet, chain rattling way, but yes, I think sometimes spirits stick around.

That's hard. I like a lot of music, but I'd have to say 50's and classic rock.

I've kept a couple dozen, but I use my iPod now.

I don't have one.

I don't really have one. Amy Winehouse maybe. Poor girl is mess, though.

I have a lot of John Lennon and The Beatles.

It depends. I like the information and lyrics that come from a band I really love, but often I only like a song or 2, I just want the song for my iPod. In general I prefer my iPod to buying CDs. It certainly is paying for itself. I used to waste a lot of money buying a CD for one song!

Yes, I play the guitar. I used to play the clarinet.

I prefer electric. I'm too nervous with gas because I get distracted and quite possibly could start fires. Right now we have neither, our stove died, um, in an oven fire.

I love them. My favorite of mine is Moosewood Restaurant Low-Fat Favorites.

I like to fly by the seat of my pants. I recently discovered applesauce makes a much richer cake than one with lots of water in the batter.

Only Mexico. I would go again, but I'm scared after all the drug wars in the news. They take place right where I'd have to cross the border.

Um, that would have to be Mexico.

My favorite trip was the last one I took. There were a lot of us; family and friends, and I love the house we stayed in, the trips to to be beach, and the horseback riding on the shore.

4. Would you live in any of them longterm?
I don't think so. But then, I've only explored a small portion of Mexico, basically only tourist places. I have a lot more left to see until I make that declaration.

Chocolate:

1. Dark, Milk, or White?
Dark, as long as it's not that non-sweet 70% cocoa or something or other. Can't say no to a Hershey's Milk chocolate or white chocolate cookies and cream bar, either. Yum.

2. Plain, filled, or with nuts or other stuff?
Plain. They usually put almonds in and I only like salty roasted almonds, not in chocolate. Oh, or see the cookies and cream above, which is white chocolate and has bits of what tastes like oreos.

3. Favourite brand?
Umm, Godiva. Or Ghiradelli. (I think I spelled that wrong.)

4. Favourite chocolate recipe?
Don't have one.

5. Do you have any traditions/rituals that revolve around chocolate?
Not really, except for breaking them into the squares/rectangles in chocolate bars are often divided in.

Yes, generally. I like cooked broccoli with cheese.

2. Are your grandparents still alive? Do you know them well?
My maternal grandfather is passed (he died when I was a baby), but the rest are alive. I know all of them well. I spent 5 or so years living with my paternal grandparents.

3. When you have a 'lazy' morning, how late do you sleep in?
It can be as late as 2:00 PM, which I know sounds extreme, but I often can't fall asleep until 5:00 AM.

4. Do you drive? Do you like to or is it a necessary evil?
No. I'm past old enough to get my license, but what what was once an exciting prospect I looked forward to be able to do is now terrifying for me. I just don't trust myself behind the wheel.

5. What is your first language? What others do you know - not necessarily fluently, but enough to be understood?
My first language was English. I know enough Spanish to get around Mexico, but I don't really know a lot of sentences. I regret it. As I child I was nearly fluent, but I seem to have lost it all.

6. How do you like your eggs cooked?
Scrambled, with melted cheese.

7. What is your favourite type of movie?
Drama. Or horror. It's hard to pick, sometimes I'm in the mood for a comedy as well. It depends on what I'm feeling. Besides genre, you all know I like classic movies best (1960s and earlier).

8. When you go to a movie do you stay to read the credits?
Not usually. Occasionally there will be a great movie that has an amazing ending, and I sort of sit there thinking during the credits, not wanting it to be over.

9. What behaviour would you ask your cats to explain, if they could speak?
Polly, why can't you use the litter box reliably? I know you're not ill (UTI, etc.) and I've done everything possible (tips from this forum) to accommodate you. Nothing works. What is it?

Molly, I know you're smart. I know you can get into the cupboards. Do you have to, though? It's quite irritating to have to use baby locks on every cupboard to keep you out of them.

Yes, I love it! NOT.

2. Do you dye your hair?
I have a few times, but for now I'm keeping my hair natural. It's hard to dye my hair anyway, because I have to bleach it first, as it's so dark (almost black).

3. Will you always have a Meezer?
If I have any say in the matter, YES! I can't imagine not having one anymore!

4. Are you a neat freak?
I am actually, although you couldn't tell sometimes. I often get so overwhelmed if I let a mess happen I don't know where to start. Messes drive me absolutely nuts, though.

5. Do you like going to the zoo?
Absolutely not. Seeing those beautiful, wild animals caged up depresses me immensely.

6. Would you rather hang out with 1-2 friends or a whole group of people?
1-2 friends. I get nervous around crowds. Sometimes big groups (like the dinner and card game TGIF parties I go to) are fun, though.

7. Do you have any bad habits?
Umm. . . Chain smoking, biting my nails, drinking too much soda, eating junk food, shall I go on?

Yes. She hated it!

Ummm. I've done none of those. I guess swimming in a "pool" in an abandoned mine that was collapsing. Crazy, and stupid.

No, they don't grow well. The way our house is positioned is against a cliff and there's not a great deal of sunshine let in.

Elizabeth Taylor! She was amazing- the most beautiful woman I've ever seen, so courageous, she stood up for what she believed in, she was a real person with real problems, I could go on forever about her.

London, I think. A lot of my family is English or otherwise European, so many have lived there, and London sounds just wonderful.

Like "pet peeve" human characteristics? about people? Ignorance, intolerance, dishonesty, unkindness, etc. I don't like hypocrisy either, but I think every single person is a hypocrite sometimes.

No. I'm very spiritual, but not religious at all.

7.- Favourite Salad?
Caesar, probably, with lots of croutons!

Mountain Dew. I swear I'm addicted to it.

I love the sunset, but I love the sunrise more I think. At dawn everything is serene, the animals are waking up, and the sunrise to me symbolizes a new beginning.

It's a silver '99 Oldsmobile. When I heard it was an Oldsmobile I thought it was going to be ugly, but it's a nice car with leather seats.

Of all the kitties who have been in your life...

1. Who is/was your heart kitty?
That is so hard. I was picturing myself HAVING to pick, and the answer that came to me was Polly. Molly and Polly are such opposites, such a close pair, and their differences are wonderful. They compliment each other perfectly. I feel such a bond with her. She's always on my lap, always has something to tell me (being a meezer of course), and she seems to really need me in a way Molly doesn't. She is not too smart, she's uncoordinated, and everything about her tugs at my heartstrings. She's one of the silliest, sweetest creatures I've ever known.

2. Who is/was the silliest? the mushiest? the grumpiest?
Silliest: Polly, for sure! She is such a goof!
Mushiest: Polly, again. She's extremely affectionate and rubs her face on my face. She is a big mush.
Grumpiest: Neither. Molly is more serious, but she's certainly not grumpy.

3. Who is/was the most challenging? in what way?
Molly, who gets into everything, opens cupboards, has been known to drag bags and boxes of food onto the floor where the dogs promptly eat what's left over.

4. Any purebred among them? what breed?
Molly and Polly are both purebred Siamese. They're the first purebreds I've had, actually.

5. Have you ever thought about adding a particular type of cat, whether actually purebred or not, to your crew? What breed or what specific characteristics would you be looking for? Why?
There are several.
-A DLH black kitty. They're gorgeous.
-The most unadoptable cat I find in the shelter.
-A senior and/or special needs cat, which could also be the "unadoptable."
-More Siamese; I can't be without a Meezer again! As far as other breeds, I would love one day to also have a Somali or Bengal.

Now a few about your family

1. How many siblings do you have? Where are you in the birth order?
All my siblings are half-siblings from my father's side. I'm in the middle-ish. I have an older brother, older sister, and younger brother.

2. Did you get along with your siblings as a child? Do you now?
I didn't really know my older siblings as a child. As for my younger brother, as a 2nd grader I took batter care of him as a baby than his mother did. I've gotten closer to my older siblings through mail and Facebook, and hope to see them soon. I'm an aunt now, actually! My little brother has also reached me through Facebook, I'm hoping to see him soon.

3. How close were/are you to your parents?
I've always been close to my mom. She's the most important person in my life. My dad was a raging drug addicted alcoholic throughout my childhood. We were not close and as soon as I got to move in with my mom I vowed to never see him again. He has changed like I never dared hope, and we are 14547x closer now.

4. Do you have a special childhood memory you'd like to share?
No, my childhood was depressing. (Not looking for pity or trying to derail the thread, just being honest.)
