Speedboat Comes From Rainbow Bridge

I am sitting here crying. My husband just told me this. Earlier this evening we were cleaning up the dishes from supper. He went out the door with a pan of scraps to dump. When he got in the garage, he heard Speedboat calling him. He stopped for a minute, but didn't hear him again. There is a big cage out there where our cats sleep at night. Speedboat spent his last days out there. It was in January 2010 when he was so sick. It was cold and so we let him stay out there and had a heater on for him. Our son got off work and stopped by the vet's office to pick up his body. Before the took him to the back yard to bury him, he brought him into the garage and I sat there on the bottom step, holding him, loving him, and telling him my last goodbyes. Even though it hurts, it is comforting to know he somehow is still around here watching what goes on. This is the second time hubby has heard him meowing. Speedboat you big old yellow boy, we love you just as much now as we ever did. You are still in our hearts and will be there forever. Rest in peace dear boy and pay us a visit as often as you want.

Oh, I just want to give you a great big hug!!!

How wonderful that he is calling to you - he misses you as much as you miss him, and he wants to let you know!

Oh Speedboat...
They really do stay with us and know when we need them, don't they...

Awe! ~hugs~ I had an experience like that too with my chinchilla. I woke up in the middle of the night and I could feel her sitting on my leg and felt her with me. It's a great comfort when she comes to visit.

Ok, now I am crying too.....

You are so lucky to feel his presence from time to time. I always believe that the tie that binds us to those we love is never broken. It stretches as far as need be to keep us close. We don't know, but the Rainbow Bridge may be right here.

Speedboat knows how much you miss him and is letting you know he's okay and close by.

I believe that. Maverick comes to me in my dreams sometimes. I know that sounds crazy, but the dreams are just too real: I wake up thinking that he's still in my arms, and when I realize he's not, it just tears my heart out. I want him with me so darn much again.

Please accept a big from me, too.

That's so lovely, and comforting to others who have/ will experience a loss at some point

Speedboat is letting you know he is doing fine and misses you and loves and watches over you. They are always with us, I believe, and have ways to still communicate with us. Hugs to you

What a magnificent gift from your little boy. I am so happy for you and I know it is bittersweet. He definitely stopped by to let you know he is well and loves you forever.

Hi Barbara,

What a great thing. I know we feel our departed companions close to our heart. I've heard Jasmine meow just recently in the house. It was so strange. I can't think of anything else that would have made that type of sound. I, too, hope she is around somewhere keeping watch over what is going on! I miss her so much.

Take care,
Keith
