Hi everyone, sorry I'm a bit late with the question today!

Today was Jake's annual check up. So my question is related to your kitties' healthcare:

What type of food do you feed your kitties??

Jake is starting the get a little bit of tartar on his back teeth, so he got a toothpaste and I'm going to stop feeding him dry food completely. I do not want him to get gingivitis ...

I free feed Taste of the Wild, works well since I have one corn allergy cat, and one chicken allergy cat.

For wet they get friskies pate style any non-chicken flavors.

I'm happy to report that my animals have beautiful teeth, even my 17 year old.
My secret there is whole, raw chicken wings (except chicken allergy girl, she gets turkey).

My cats get a dry mix of TOTW, Diamond Naturals Active Cat, Chicken Soup, 4Health, and one other brand that varies (currently Nutro because I found it on clearance). I'm trying for 50/50 dry/canned. For canned food they get Friskies, Sophistacat, and a fairly decent local grocery store brand. Sometimes Special Kitty because they really like Super Supper, but it has some iffy ingredients I try to avoid. I also just bought a big case of Triumph, if they like it it'll go into the lineup.

Sometimes I'll give them raw beef chunks, hoping that chewing through the muscle will clean their teeth. They won't crunch through bone, though, so chicken wings don't work
. I give the dogs raw chicken quarters and beef ribs for cleaning their teeth, but those spoiled kitties just won't go for that kind of thing.

Yup Jake was okay aside from the tartar on his back teeth!! The vet said he is a 6 as far as weight goes too, so not as bad as I thought!!
Thanks for asking Rigel

Muffin eats W/D from the vet's office. Mattie eats a little bit of wet meow mix with lysine ground up and a little bit of Purina Complete mixed with it. I know it is junk food, but she is very picky eater and she likes this.
