Hello all! It's been quite a long time since I have posted on this site. We moved last year after spending a year living with my parents building our home. We successfully moved our feral family with us and put them in their kitty condo to get used to the new home site. All are well and we are very thankful for that!
They absolutely love having 7 acres to run around on and I loved not worrying about them getting into the street!
It's now mosquito season and we have 2 patches of wetlands on our property. Tonight I was feeding the gang and my poor babies have mosquitos swirling around them. I can touch them but dont want to put any type of commercial repellent on them as I never put chemicals on them - or myself for that matter.
Do any of you know what I can do to try to alleviate this problem for them? I do empty their water dishes and refill them twice a day. There is no standing water near their feeding area - the only other standing water is the wetlands, but they are nowhere near there. I did a google search and found all types of ways to get rid of stray cats, keep them out of the garden - everything but how to eradicate the mosquitos.
