After a few annoying problems at work I have decided I am going to start casually looking for a new job... So I am scouring wanted ads and putting my resume out there!
When I first started this job I was told it would be full time and only one weekend a month with benefits being an option in the future... I've worked almost all weekends and get grief for asking for Sundays off when we race, when one of the reasons I took the job was that they said one weekend a month. And most of the time I get full time... but sometimes not... it just makes it very hard to budget not knowing what hours you will be getting... and 9 months later no talk of benefits, which annoys me. So I am hoping to find something mon-fri and normal business hours that will let me take some night and weekend classes for college and have weekends free to do what I want!
So can I get some good luck vibes going? Please?

I started looking for another job one year ago - April 2010. Easier said than done!

Good luck coming your way

thanks! I actually got this job fairly quick when I was looking. But I just feel like I am sitting in an office watching my life go by. I am 24 and missing out on 90% of the stuff thats going on because my "one weekend a month" has turned into every weekend...

Sending out tons and tons of good job vibes your way!!!

I've also been on the hunt for another job. I've been putting out resumes, but in the profession I'm in, they post the jobs for sometimes 3 weeks before they start interviewing applicants. I've had 3 interviews, and the last one I missed out on the job by a hair! The manager called me and told me that it was so close between me and one other applicant, that they had a difficult time making the decision. In the end they went with someone with less experience, but with a degree in nursing. She told me that if the girl doesn't work out, she'll be calling me. I'm not holding my breath and waiting. I need a different job.

I have been putting in lots of resumes for office jobs. I have done a lot of office work in the past but most of it hasnt really been part of the main job description. But I am hoping to find something! That and I am seriously thinking about taking some online courses in something quick and easy just to get a certificate in to up my chances. I just know I am only looking at stuff thats mon-fri. I dont really even care what the hours are!
