Kitten has a sore on her nose

Thread Starter
I have a kitten that got a bump/sore on her nose. She didn't get it until we adopted her sister and she came to our home, so I'm assuming it may be from them playing around or something. Should I be concenered? How long does it usually take for sores to heal on a kitten? I'm also pregnant and overdue, so I don't exactly think I'll be able to make it to the vet very soon. She doesn't act in pain or anything over it and is still eating, drinking, and using the litter box as usual. I only barely noticed it myself. Should I just leave it be and let it heal on its own? Should I try putting something on it, like neosporin? Thanks for any and all help.

You could bath it in warm water, but it will probably disappear on its own. Just watch it to make sure it doesn't get infected. My cats are always scratching their noses. They play rough.

AW poor kitty. I would just leave it and watch to make sure it doesn't get worse. You can't really put anything on it because the kitty will just immediately lick it off! Should heal up on it's own

Are both cats up to date with their injections?

I would really take the puss to the vet to check that there's no infection in there. You don't want this flaring up later on.

Watch her closely to make sure it's not self-inflicted. When I first acquired my Prissi, she licked a spot on her nose raw due to anxiety. If the sore has only appeared after acquiring a new kitty, then it may be something to consider.

And yes, I used Neosporin. It may have served as a deterrent, as well.
