gel out of fur?

Ok I am so happy to have this as my greatest worry today. Finny, Darci and I got great news at the cardio today!

Now I am just wondering if anyone knows how to get the sonogram out of a Maine Coon's. The fur on his tummy is so long and the gel is in a place he can't get to I am tempted to just cut it but I am wondering if anyone has any other experience.

Thanks!

The gel used for a sonogram should be water soluble. Try just soaking it first, and maybe a little kitty shampoo.

Glad the sono resuts were good.

My Vet uses rubbing alcohol to take it off, when he comes out they tell me he'll be a little damp because of the alcohol and I never see anything on him. Although my boy isn't long hair. Good Luck.

Thanks the water didn't do it but will try rubbing alcohol. I love that that is my biggest worry today.
