Apparently someone else is doing TNR...

I was hoping to get some of the ferals in my neighborhood s/n, but I have not been able to get started yet.
Well, recently I was in the kitchen, watching the birds in the bird feeder on my porch and was about to take a photo of a cardinal when I saw a kitty head pop up on my patio furniture... I zoomed my camera in to get a better look and was very surprised to see she or he was ear tipped! I have not noticed any other ear-tipped cats in the area so I am not sure if someone else in my neighborhood is doing TNR or maybe he wandered in from somewhere else, but I guess I'm going to have to take a close look at any kitties I trap before I bring them in to be fixed... I saw him on the porch another time too so I think he's been hanging out there, possibly interested in the birds at the feeder.
If someone else in the neighborhood is doing TNR, I wish I could figure out who and maybe we could help each other!

I attached the photos I took... It's hard to see the tipped ear in the photo because I took the photo through two windows (door and storm door) so it is a little fuzzy.

First off, thank you for planning to TNR some cats. I wish everyone all around would join in and help stop the feral's from breeding and save little lives.

You are right it does look like a left ear-tip although the photos are dark. BUT on closer inspection of the second photo, I cannot tell if that ear tip is just bent forward??? possibly frostbit? The edge looks a bit jagged not perfectly straight across. You might be able to get a better look if that cat comes back around. He seems very comfy on your patio chair cushion. It would sure be wonderful to hear if someone else was TNRing in your area. I have not had such luck by me.

Much luck with trapping, we need more people like you!!!!!!.

I know it's hard to tell in the photo, but "in person" I could tell the tip was definitely gone, not folded and the cut was very straight and even so I don't think it was from an injury.

Well, that is nice to know and hear people are out there who are feral advocates
