I went to pick up all of the information and pictures at the APL today and came home with Rufus. His name was Bobby but I don't care for that name much.

Here is his picture

I was not planning on bringing anyone home with me. While sitting in the cat room talking with the shelter director about our fundraising activities, he jumped into my lap and rubbed me all over. He has the loudest purr I have ever heard. He reminded me so much of my Boomer that went to the bridge last year.

Can't wait to get him all settled in so I can get some pics to share!!

Oh CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He sounds like SUCH a love, and as an older kitty, who knows how long it could have taken him to find his furrever home!

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he settles in quickly!

He is going to do fine .

Aberdeen came in to my room and looked at Bobby. My son wants to keep the name Bobby. Ugggg. Aberdeen's ears went back and she gave a mean look. He sniffed her and walked away...no aggression at all.

My daughter sat on the floor and fed him Greenies. He is twice her lap. He is a very big boy. He tried to keep her from getting up off the floor.

He just reminds me so much of Boomer, a gentle giant.

That's how I ended up with Spencer and Katie! Took Abby to the vet and found myself adopting 2 four month old kittens. Abby was home 1 week before I brought the kittens home

I so miss my Boomer. He would never hiss, swat or show any antagonistic traits. He would sit in my lap for hours and just purr.

Bobby is just like that. I am the lucky one to find such a great kitty.

Yup, he knew a good thing when we seen it so he decided to adopt you

Last night was a hoot.

My daughter and Bobby slept with me in my full sized bed. And it got hot!! Bobby just didn't sleep at the foot of the bed, oh no, right pressed up against my shoulders. Every time I petted him it was like I started a chainsaw.

He is a hard head butter too.

He got out of my room last night and found his way to the basement. I asked Baylen "where is Bobby?" and she went right to him. She was Boomer's best friend. I think she sees the similarities between the two.
