I need some help with fundraising

Each quarter, my employer asks that we donate some of our time to charity work. This quarter we chose the Animal Protective League (hehe..I chose it and they just kind of went along with it).

As fate would have it, there was a horrible story about a boxer who was either dropped off or ran away. This little fella has been all over the news for two days. I bought three newspapers and cut the story out and displayed it at each of our windows. I also bought some dog food bowls for donations. We made almost $50.00 in two days!! Here is a linky to the story: http://www.wkyc.com/news/article/184...hting-the-odds

Tomorrow I am going to the APL to get flyers about low cost spay and neutering programs, the MASH (mobile animal surgical hospital) and their wish list of needed supplies to keep the animals happy and the office running. They are also going to give me pictures of the animals up for adoption.

What I need help with is that although I am good at getting donations and finding causes, I have no clue how to present a display that would be pleasing and get the biggest results. One thing I do want to make is a smaller display just for Sugar Ray. I have a goal set on $500.00 to send to him. I wanted to have a cut out of some sort and a bone. We can track how much was raised for him so everyone can see how much he is being helped. I was going to call it "Raising the bone for Sugar Ray". If anyone can think of a better slogan I would love it!

I also need some sort of catchy phrase for the display with the adoptable animals.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!!!!

At my store we have a clear plastic container with some sort (sorry I'll look monday)message from the local animal shelter. The other store has a container in the shape of a cat! Place whatever containers at a business that parents will bring children as many kids want to put money in the kitty bank!

Good on you for your help to an animal cause! I like your slogan and idea of showing how much money has been raised. Your employer must also be really social aware to ask employees to contribute time to charity causes. Good luck. I hope you raise a bankroll.

Thanks!

Most branches are doing some national charity event. We have decided to keep it local. So far, that has proven to be far more productive.

I am already working on our next project.

This is kind of a success. Donations are down but many took flyers about low cost spay/neutering programs. The $10.00 rabies vaccine flyer for cats and dogs was a huge hit as well.

We have about $175.00 in donations in two weeks.

Out of all the employees, there are only two who are actively asking for donations.
