For those who aren't familiar with her story, Morgan is a long-haired black cat who came into the shelter about 11 months ago as a tiny kitten.
Here she's hiding behind her brother.
She grew into a gorgeous big girl and I never could figure out why it took so long to get her adopted.
I took her to a couple of cat shows along with my cats, hoping to find her a forever home. She generated a lot of interest, but no takers.
Yesterday I got a call from the shelter manager that Morgan has been adopted.
The people hadn't picked her up yet so I had time to get over there this morning to say good-bye. The couple has a dog who pretty much belongs to the wife, so they wanted a cat for the husband. As soon as they walked into the cat room Morgan hopped up on his lap and settled in for the duration. Sold! They had kind of been looking for a ragdoll, and I have to say Morgan is about as close to a ragdoll personality as you can get.
I'm sure we'll be getting updates on her. They adopted their dog from the Humane Society about a year ago and come in every month or two with new pictures to show us.
