Could I Get Some Good Vibes And Prayers Too?

My dad has prostate cancer which has spread to his bones. He is 62. The cancer is very aggressive. He has had radiation and on other meds. On Friday we go to the Cancer clinic for his PSA levels and to find out if its spread. If its not spread and gotten better my dad will be so happy as will i. If its worse i'm seriously afraid my dad will go downhill fast. Please pray for a miracle.

Oh how sad! My dad's got an eye on his PSA levels, but fortunately they don't require radiation or seed therapy yet... Gary's dad is dying of Pancreatic cancer.

I'm so sorry about Gary's dad. Pancreatic cancer is horrible. My aunt died of it. She went so fast that she didn't even get to have any treatment for it. You are in my thoughts & prayers too.

Out of curiosity. . . what kind of cancer runs in your family?
Have you seen a genetic counselor?
Some DNA tests are available for some types of cancers to see if you have a gene mutation (if your risk is high enough).

Also- many people fail to realize that cancer runs on both side of the family . . . . yes breast cancer can be passed down from your father. . . .

Lung cancer is usually caused by environmental factors. . . . (smoking, asbestos, radon, etc. . . . ). Cervical cancer is caused by HPV (sexually transmitted).
