Cat Peeing on Husband

We adopted 3 cats when our 1st cat died. 2 were neutered "brothers" that we got from a family member at 11 months. 1 was a spayed female (2 years) from the shelter that didn't like other cats from the beginning. She may have been abused as well as she is very alert and it takes along time for her to settle down.

Unfortunately we got the shelter cat first and then the brother cats a few months later (unplanned). So we had some minor behavioral stuff in beginning but the boys are easy going and she adjusted to extra boxes and food bowls and her space in our bedroom.

We moved across country and allowed her to adjust to our bedroom and the boys took over the rest of a much larger home.

The inlaws moved in with us (temporarily) but brought 2 more cats (boy & girl - literally brother and sister). This has caused much strife as these were mainly outdoor cats and don't take kindly to other cats. However they took over the upstairs and our guys stayed downstairs.

Fastfoward several months and everyone seems to get along except for the 2 girls. One of our boys has recently been spending much more time in the bedroom and is starting to dominate the smaller female (Jasmine) who had the run of the bed and owner (mom) until now.

She is beginning to pee on husband at night. It's happened once or twice when we first got all three together and stopped for over a year. It's happening again. We have separate eating area for her. Multiple boxes cleaned 2x per day on both levels of the house. And I'm going to rule out UTI as the last time it happened (over a year ago) the vet said she was good.

Is there some behavorial book or website you can suggest to help us correct her problem? We try and correct the dominate male when he shows aggression which is not harmful but playful. But this may be causing her to pee on husband near where the male (Figaro) sleeps. The female used to sleep on top of wife or near until the male moved in.

I'm guessing this is stressing out the female and she is marking the territory? We will use the feliway but I assume this won't help as it is a dominate/territorial thing. We don't want to push the male cat out as we enjoy his company.

Husband is not enjoying this and we are considering removing her at night from the room, which she will not like.

Oh I am sorry. It sounds like you could really use Cat Wrangling Made Easy, by Dusty Rainbolt.

It certainly won't hurt to try the Feliway, as it does help to lower stress. And in the meantime, you are washing the bedding with an enzyme cleaner, right?
