Well I think I've finally got a good rotation every one is happy with.

Tolly and Queen Eva are eating, in rotation: (all are either shredded in gravy or chunk in gravy)

Soulistic shredded, grain free
-Good Karma Chicken Dinner in gravy

It's the favorite and they will eat it every two or three days

Petite Cuisine shredded in gravy (with carrots, which I pick out)
-Sesame Chicken and rice

Another favorite, they will eat it every two or three days

Weruva shredded, grain free (I pick the carrots out)
-nine livers
-grandmas chicken soup
-green eggs and chicken

They like the Weruva only once a week or less

Merrick chunk in gravy (and unnecessary veggies)
-Grammy's Pot Pie

Like the Weruva, as long as I don't offer it more than once a week, they like it.

AvoDerm chunk
-Chicken chunks in gravy

Another once in 7 days or even less frequently food

Castor Pollux chunk
-Chicken and veggies casserole

They really like this one, I think it is very similar to the Blue I had to stop using because the last batch was bad. But I only feed it once a week because it's not as high in protein as some of the others, and has a lot of fruits and veggies cats don't need.

Tolly and Queen Eva will also eat a small serving of Jennie's pate now and then, but not much and only once on any given day

Jennie is eating in rotation

Merrick Before Grain Pate, grain free and no fruits and veggies
-chicken
-turkey
-beef

Wellness pate, grain free (but contains fruits and veggies)
-chicken
-turkey
-beef and chicken

Mazy is on a prescription diet, she eats Hills Prescription c/d multicare kibble. She won't eat the canned or she'd be on it. I have started allowing her 1/4 can (1.36 oz) of the Before Grain with 1/4 cup of water in place of one of her kibble servings every day. Her six month check up is in June, and I will know then if this is affecting her FLUTD in a negative way.If it is, of course I will have to stop. Mazy is a poor drinker, and I worry about that a lot.

I feel great relief that the food search is over, it was causing me a ton of stress, especially Tolly and Queen Eva, my finicky ones. Now I have enough things that they like, as long as they don't get them too often and two they will eat almost daily.

I've been getting all the food at Petco except the Wellness, which is cheaper at the local feed store, and Mazy's prescription food which I get at the vet. Petco has been running free shipping specials. I am stocked up for almost 6 months, whoohoo!

I've been taking advantage of various Petco deals lately, too. Which then included some returns because Kittica got all picky out of the blue and refused to eat chicken and duck by Hollistic, for instance.

She'd love your cats' menu, that's for sure. It's pretty similar to ours. Hopefully I'll find out whether I'm feeding her right or whether or not she's turning into a piggy and, once I learn that, I'll be celebrating, too. Unless she really is too fat.

Yes, the free shipping promotions has really helped me with the food trials.

I can't tell you the relief I feel. Tolly and Queen Eva are so finicky. Every time a food gets discontinued or the manufacturer changes it (for the worse) (or if there is a recall) I'm back to the constant worry of finding something they will eat.

With this many foods in the rotation I can breathe much easier.

Thanks!!! I had no idea of petcos sale and ended up seeing the carefresh bedding for 45 for 3 big bags so got 12 bags coming total
that and mr rebates 8 percent cash back means this was great deal. I hardly look at petco as usually so far off the mark price wise but not today

I LOVE the menu! Can I borrow/ steal it?

I was giving Calvin and Hobbes Wellness in the morning (4 flavors - no fish) and Merrick in the evening (3 flavors - not fishy) and either Fancy Feast Fish and shrimp or Trader Joe's for late night snacks (along with 1/8- 1/6 cup California Natural). One fine day both decided to not eat wet anymore, especially the Wellness. So after trying to figure out what was doing this, I boiled some chicken breast and they went crazy for it. My conclusion is, even though the flavors are different, they are similar enough to get them bored of their food. I got a couple of cans of Blue Buffalo wet and they've LOVED those. So I am planning to add more brands rather than different flavors of the same brand and your menu is just what I was hoping for.
Btw, where do you get Weruva and Soulistic? I have a petsmart and a nice indepedent store that I frequent but there is a petco I've been to a couple of times, but everything seemed more pricey there?

Soulistic is exclusive to Petco, it is made by Weruva but less expensive.

The only food I buy locally is Wellness, as the feed store carries it, there aren't any other pet supply stores where I live.

I generally shop around the on line stores when buying cat food, looking for best prices and best promotional deals on the foods I buy. NationalPetPharmacycom, Amazon.com and Heartypet.com are lal stores I've used with satisfaction, but recently with Petco.com's free shipping promos everything has been coming from them.

PS as you can see by my list I don't feed any seafood or fish. Mazy isn't allowed to have it, but loves it, so I don't think it's fair for her to have to smell it, and anyway I just don't think it's good for cats.

I am lucky, and grateful I do not have to deal with food allergies with the current gang.

I feed fish only every once in a while. Last time she had it (and it was Surf and Turf by Merrick), she puked all over the place so... now I just avoid. There's plenty to choose from. Every once in a while she'll get something containing maybe a bit of salmon.

What I am still struggling with are quantities and, also, my new obsession that she's overweight already, or, well, that she'll become a fatty.

I know what you mean. I don't like for my cats to be fat either. Jennie is the only one who is overweight, she is slightly chubby. She has terrible food anxiety, and unfortunately for her, a low metabolism. She eats less food than any of my other cats, but she's the only chubby one.

To maintain her at what I considered a healthy weight, she was eating only 3 oz a day, but she was going crazy asking for food all the time. My vet told me to increase her intake to 4.5 oz a day, and she has gained a pound and a half over the year since the increase, she is ten pounds, and should really only be 9.

However the Before Grain is less caloric than the Wellness so that may help, she's only been eating that a few weeks. It also doesn't have the fruits and veggies added. I am wondering if those blueberries and things added to the wellness are making her hungry.

Well, time will tell if the BG helps her slim down a bit.

Yeah, I am all sorts of confused - I even started a thread with all my doubts, concerns and ideas...

Kittica is 9.5 or 10 pounds, but I am not certain because all I have is my own scale and it never shows the same result for both me alone and then both of us together. So whatever. She is overall a pretty big cat, longer and taller than, say, my in-laws' 4 year old domestic shorthair. We seem to have gotten over her terrible food anxiety, but I am still unsure as to how much food she needs on a daily basis. She'd probably die if I went all the way down to 3 oz. But I don't know.

The vet here I really like, when it comes to taking care of regular health concerns. Nutrition-wise, I am not sure how far I'll ever get since the vet recommended Meow Mix as something really good for my newly found cat.
