I miss my old ram.
I alway loved lambing season, and hated it at the same time.

My ram got himself stuck in the fence at the back of the pasture and hung himself

He was a beautiful Suffolk bottle baby.

What a precious baby. I had a pet lamb when I was about 10 years old and still have a real weakness for them.

Oh how cute! My mother had always had a special thing for sheep; especially lambs! A lady at our church has one now that she is bottle feeding. Not sure if my mother has been over to see it; they are so cute!!

I love lambing time, but I get to see the lambs and not have to do the hard work! Good luck with it all.

Oh, I have such a silly soft spot for sheep -- and your little baby lamb is precious! Maybe you will post pictures now and then, so we can watch him grow up?

Oh how adorable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! for your ewe that's doing poorly.

My
grandfather
raised sheep (and chickens). He was actually quite famous for breeding Cheviots and Merinos, and 20+ years after his death is still honored by the American Cheviot Society. His farm was in Pennsylvania and we lived in Illinois, so I was never there for lambing. But we were there every August, in time for the shows at the State Fair, which was always a lot of work but a lot of fun.
