Possessive of toys!

So on Friday we went to a neighboring town to stalk up at Petsmart. We brought the kids back a ton of goodies including some new catnip toys. I threw a bunch down for them when we got home and let them have fun. All of a sudden, I heard growling/hissing, and look over to see LP COMPLETELY freaking out if anyone came near his toy! He was guarding it, it was HIS toy! I have never, ever heard this little guy growl OR hiss!

Elliott will sometimes growl and be possessive of the little furry mice, but otherwise they all play nice.

What a character!

well that sucks, LOL

I was hoping there was one closer to SJ so I can go next time I'm home.
I went to the Pet Smart in Freddy 2 weekends ago, first time I was ever in one

Isn't it awesome?!? I love it there, and always stock up when we go. We're supposed to be getting one here in SJ within the next couple years.

It is, I was impressed and spent SOOOOOOO much, LOL.

I checked out all the pet stores in Fredericton, Pet Smart and Global were the only ones I bought anything at. Their PU sucked just like all the others.

We only have a Ma and Pa type store here and they have nothing. Not to mention it just closed because the owner decided to close it without any notice, the guy running it has decided to buy it but it's going to take a few weeks so they're selling food only from the store next door

So I get sooooooo excited when I get to go into the cities that sell an assortment of stuff, it's like Christmas.

Spencer is possessive of his toys too! But usually only the ones that have feathers on it. He picks it up and growls, and then brings it to me to throw so he can fetch it again.

When I pull out "Da Bird", they both go crazy leaping and jumping to catch it in mid air and then try to carry it off. However, when Spencer catches it, he growls before trying to carry it off.

It's just too cute when they do that!!!

Do you know if the petsmart in Freddy has the stainless steel litter boxes? We don't have a petsmart in Nova Scotia yet, but maybe I can make a detour whenever I go to PEI or ask my Aunt to on her way down next time.
Wonder why we don't have one yet!

Not sure truthfully, but next time I'm there, I'll check for you!

That they have new toys!
Calvin is very possessive too. He does not hiss or growl but pushes hobbes away. He actually goes and lies down on the toy that Hobbes wants so that he does not get it. Calvin also hides toys - used to do that even before Hobbes came to live with us. The other day Hobbes was at the vet's for part of the day and Calvin brought out a couple of toys and got them to me to play. I feel bad for Hobbes. But am trying to have enough out. Plus we make separate play time for the 2 since during playtime with us Hobbes tends to dominate.
