Happy! Taking Responsibility

A friend of mine recently lost her elderly grandmother who had 2 cats.

And for once in my life, I'm finally hearing that everyone in the family is fighting over who gets to KEEP the cats! Rather than the usual song and dance about why nobody can take them after a death and they end up in a shelter.

This story just warmed my heart. So happy to hear these two kitties are wanted by so many people and are going to have a happy home with MANY people who love and care for them

That is very refreshing to hear! Glad to know those kitties will continue to be loved and cared for by family members that want them

I'm sorry your friends grandmother died. But I'm glad she had such a good family that they all want to take in her cats.

These stories are few and far between...

This is why I've stopped at 3 cats though I'd love to have more. DS has promised to take care of our cats should anything happen to DH and me, and I don't want to burden him with more kitties than he could handle.

I wish we saw more of that.

We have three "older" cats at the shelter right now whose owner died and the kids put the cats in the shelter. I don't hold out a lot of hope for them.

That's great news

I wish there was more happy endings for animals who lose their owners.

Everyone in my family knows that if anything were to happen to me, the cats better be VERY well cared for or I'll come back and haunt them for life!

I'll ask my friend once all of the services have been complete for her Gran and the family has had the chance to get back to normal life.

I haven't met them, but she says they are beauty's (aren't they all?).

That is unusual! Yes, most people hide from the responsibility. That is sooooo nice to hear for a change. I agree with Kailie, my family knows I won't rest peacefully unless my cats are cared for
