Has anybody heard of it?
Its made by Nutrena and they sell it a Murdoch's.
The ingredients look to be about the same as Diamond, or Nutro.
Also I found Diamond Naturals Indoor at Menards, but that the only kind they have. What do you all think of the Indoor DN?
Thanks all.

Have you ever fed for a while, like a few months at a time?
How'd your catd do on it then?

Eww, yuck. Cats are obligate carnivores, and there is NO MEAT in this food

taken from the website:

Ingredients

Poultry by-product meal, brewers rice, ground whole corn, wheat flour, corn gluten meal, poultry fat (preserved with mixed tocopherols), natural chicken flavor, whole flaxseed, powdered cellulose, menhaden fish meal, potassium chloride, bentonite, vitamins: (vitamin A supplement, vitamin D3 supplement, vitamin E supplement, niacin supplement, d-calcium pantothenate, pyridoxine hydrochloride, riboflavin supplement, thiamine mononitrate, folic acid, menadione sodium bisulfite complex (source of vitamin K activity), biotin, vitamin B12 supplement), salt, brewers dried yeast, DL-methionine, propionic acid (for freshness), choline chloride, minerals: (zinc sulfate, ferrous sulfate, zinc amino acid complex, iron amino acid complex, copper sulfate, manganese sulfate, manganese amino acid complex, ethylenediamine dihydriodide, sodium selenite), yucca schidigera extract, L-taurine, mixed tocopherols, citric acid, rosemary extract, l-tryptophan.

Their protein source is poultry by-product meal. They give a link so you can read about poultry by-product meal. With a lot of flowery words they try to make the consumer think that this is a GOOD thing because they use "pet food grade" poultry by-product meal instead of "feed grade" poulty by-product meal.

I would not feed this to my cat.

PS this food also has bentonite in it. That's what is used in clumping litter. What's that for I wonder. ugh!

I have seen Loyall in the feed stores, and I think it's overpriced for the quality. Purina Cat Chow has a very similar ingredient list, and is much less expensive.

Otto--I think bentonite clay (in small doses) can be used to soothe upset tummies. I don't see any reason to have it in a daily food, though.

Oh, it's not awful. It is high in grains and has powdered cellulose higher on the ingredient list than I prefer, but it's reasonably priced and not bad. My cats didn't do very well on it, but it might work for your cats. It is VERY high in fiber, might be good for a cat who has potty issues.

32% protein
14% fat
8% fiber

Chicken, chicken meal, cracked pearled barley, ground rice, powdered cellulose, chicken fat (preserved with mixed tocopherols), flaxseed, natural chicken flavor, egg product, fish meal, sodium bisulfate, potassium chloride, choline chloride, dried chicory root, methionine, taurine, L-Carnitine, yucca schidigera extract, zinc proteinate, vitamin E supplement, niacin, manganese proteinate, copper proteinate, zinc sulfate, manganese sulfate, copper sulfate, thiamine mononitrate, vitamin A supplement, biotin, potassium iodide, calcium pantothenate, riboflavin, pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6), vitamin B12 supplement, manganous oxide, sodium selenite, vitamin D supplement, folic acid.

For some reason its the only one Menards carries.
I talked to the gal at Murdoch's about getting Naturals in and getting TOTW. They only have the Maitenence on, but the have all of the Naturals for dogs. Cats always get the short end on food.

Well, Diamond Naturals only has 2 cat formulas. . .Indoor and Active Cat. So it's not even really the stores' fault.
