For the last 5 months my cat has decided that my bed and the couch are great places to pee on.......
I brought her to the vet right away, and there were no health issues, so it was decided that it was a behavior issue. I keep her out of the bedroom when I'm not home, which has helped a bit, but she found the couch soon after. I have cleaned the mattress, sheets, duvet, with Nature's Miracle and vinegar. About a week ago I started using the Comfort Zone with Feliway diffuser in the living room because she had been scratching there as well. I have been spraying the bed with Feliway, but not very regularly. I have tried many litters and took the hood off the litter box last week. I've used Dr. Elsey's litter, but it's often sold out at PetSmart, which is an hour drive from my house. I just loaded up on a few bags which I'll change to tonight and I have the cat attract litter additive that I will add to it.
I thought I was making progress until last night she peed on the bed while I was IN IT!!!! This is the first time, usually she'll sneak in and do it when nobody is watching.
Has this happened to anybody else??? What other suggestions do you have? All ideas are appreciated, thank you for reading!
