I did the same search, and I keep finding solo artists as well, or bands that have nothing to do whatsoever with Fleetwood Mac.

I will now give hints to the hints already given:

Hint 1: Fleetwood Mac was the most popular mixed gender group of all time. (And Rumors was the biggest selling SINGLE DISC album of all time. Mixed gender groups are a rarity, expecially ones that can play more than 20 musical instruments.

Hint 2: Granny rhymes with...well, sort of...
