Arrived in Vt with Aya yesterday around 9pm (three hours late).

The second half of the trip was worse than the first, though shorter.

I have nothing but bad things to say about UA's stateside customer service.

Oh and she made a 'jailbreak' from the stupidly expensive stupidly small carrier we had to buy and demo-ed it enroute. She got three rows in front of me before someone caught her for me. She unzipped herself out of it.

But we got here!

Aya is currently chilling in the upstairs bedroom. Midori is insanely curious about the newcomer and stands guard at the door at all hours, despite some hostile hissing coming from the other side.

Fighting for ferals in NW NJ!
Well I'm really glad to hear you're home and both OK! But that's amazing she busted out - thank GOODNESS someone caught her as quickly as they did!

she (and you!) recover quickly, and settle in without any problems.

You were allowed to keep her with you on the flight home?? I thought animals had to be kept with the luggage......or is it just dogs....wow!

Welcome home! YOu must be thrilled to be reunited with Midori.

Poor Aya, but she'll recover with time and love, both of which you will give her.

I believe there is a limit, one animal per flight in cabin, or something like that.

Animals are not put with luggage, if they are not in cabin they are in a special heated pressurized section for live cargo.

I used to air travel with a cat, and I always kept him with me, under the seat.

Welcome home!!

Sorry Aya was a troublemaker, and sorry you were flying United. I have nothing but bad things to say about them, and have avoided them for years. And I will continue to avoid them and badmouth them especially after the way they treated my mom in August and again in Feb. But anyway...

I hope resident kitty Midori won't be too upset by Aya, and that Aya will be able to get settled ok in her new surroundings...

Welcome back to the snowy north east!

Looking on the bright side...at least she was in the cabin and not the cargo hold when she escaped.

For a smooth introduction.
