Its V day for me and last night I have not slept much at all - to say I am nervous is an understatement. Spent until gone 1am talking with my wife about it. Can you believe that I have been sat thinking that when the operation is carried out at 15.30 gmt this afternoon - I wondered if my wife will think less of me. I also wondered if she will not see me much as a man as I am having the means of having children removed. It has to be done - my wife health is more important than anything to me.
The whole thing makes me cringe and at the end of the day, she still loves me - however, you recall I once said that cats know something is going on - well I swear Brandy is laughing at me - seems to be saying "Finally got you back you swine!!!!"
The frozen peas are in the fridge and ready and I may / may not be around for a couple of days. I have to have my feet up!! Thats gotta be a good point - no? Will see how I feel!
I am terrified...and its gonna be hot again.
Oh well - here goes nothing - its gonna be a snip!

Don't worry, my x-husband when through this and I'll tell you he was very happy after. Things seem to work better for him and me.

Good luck and in a couple of days you'll wonder what all the fuss was about to begin with.

Wishing you all the very best Kev..... And I don't think you should worry at all about your wife thinking any less of you. To the contrary would be my guess since you are stepping up to the plate to take care of this so *her* health wont be compromised again. That's very noble and brave of you in my humble opinion.

And, yes, do keep those peas nice and frozen. I believe you're gonna need 'em!!!

Good luck and please do come back when you can and let us know you you're doing.:flower:

Well, you're probably already gone for the bit, but your thinking is not unusual. Women often feel that their hubbies will think less of them if they have to have a mastectomy.

My dad had the big ole snip snip, and he is fine. You will be fine and your wife will love you all the same, maybe even more, for doing this for her.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery! I'm sure your wife will think you even more a man for being strong & going through this. Just think...after you're feeling better you can be together all you want without the worry of pregnancy!
