Meet Quentin

I get to work this morning just to be surrounded by people telling me about this cat who has been hanging out down in the work parking lot. They were all saying how scared and hungry he is and how I just HAVE to take him in. Let's just say Dana isn't impressed.

I went down to check him out and he was literally screaming at me, terrified. He's an unneutered male and has an indent where a collar was, so he was probably dumped. Also, I feel a bone sticking from his chest, but I believe it is a rib that was broken that didn't heal properly as it doesn't see to hurt him. God only knows what this poor little guy has been through.

Needless to say, he is now home in one of the foster rooms. He LOVES to talk, and has been purring away, inhaling treats. He doesn't like the cats on the other side of the door though and will growl at them.

Meet our newest foster, Quentin:

Smiling, because he's so happy to have food and a warm place to sleep!

This is purely a guess, but the north end, where work is, isn't the greatest part of town. They probably couldn't afford to neuter him, he may have started spraying, so they just dumped him, OR, with the whole rib thing, he could have been very abused. This sweet little guy sure doesn't hold it against anyone though.

What a sweet, handsome young fellow. Thank you for taking him in.

He is gorgeous and he knew just where to go to get the help he needed

LOL a few of my friends works in the North End (group homes) and one of them got lost, she rolled up the windows, locked the doors and was posting on FB how scared she was waiting for someone to come find her, haha. I don't know if it's that bad but she was pretty scared

Oh it's that bad alright! Around Place 400 (where I work) isn't s bad as lower North though. We had an apartment there before we moved here because it was close to work. BIG mistake! We would hear gun shots all the time, there are fights/stabbings often, we'd wake up to drunks passed out in the apartment hallway, the landlord was NUTS, etc. It was a horrible situation that I am so thankful to no longer be a part of. So that being said, who KNOWS what happened to this poor guy.

I thought he had the beginnings of mats on his back, at the base of his tail. They are actually sores/scabs that are healing.

Oh the poor boy! I'm so glad he found his way to you and Dana!

Just LOOK at that smile!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Poor little guy has probably had to battle his way for some time. Chum was EXTREMELY cat aggressive when he had to compete for food, but you know how things worked out for him once he was neutered and well fed.

for Quentin. I so hope he tests negative for FIV, and especially FeLV!

I don't believe they are, as he doesn't seem to be in any discomfort at all, but he's going to be checked out by a vet next week just to be sure.

Quentin is gorgeous. Thank you for taking him in, and thanks, Dana, for being so patient, too. I bet Quentin will be adopted in no time once you get him all sorted out.

We went into the shelter today to sponsor Quentin's neuter, and they were able to give us an appointment for this Tuesday! Hopefully this will help him get adopted sooner.

As do I, there is just something special about orangies!

More good news. I'm pretty sure I have a home lined up for him. A girl I used to work with, who has actually adopted from me before (my Teyah's son), is interested in him! she said to give her a couple days, but she already mentioned it to her little girl who is super excited, lol, so she said it'll probably be a yes. Where he is being neutered and stuff tomorrow, this will give him some time to recover, but it looks like we have another success story!

Oh lord, that boy is just gorgeous! I love the last picture....it's like he's saying, "Finally! Somebody who realizes just how gorgeous I am and that I deserve to be treated like the prince that I really am!"

Kudos, Kailie!
