Since so many of us have e-readers, I was curious to know how many books you have available on your respective e-readers that you've not read yet.

I think I'm a book hoarder
. I always feel like I need a ton of back-up books on hand so that once I'm finished with one book, I can quickly slip into another. I get very anxious when I feel as though I may "run out" of books. Am I the only person who thinks or feels this way? Or, am I just one of many?

Currently, I have 18 unread books on my Nook. And, I have more than double that of books that I have completed. How about you? I'm having an inquisitive kind of day.

We're a bunch of readers here on TCS, that much I know.

That I've not read... mm, maybe 25-30? Total on my iPad is around or above 150.

I don't have an e-reader but I do read books on my phone. I don't keep books I've already read on my phone. Currently I have around 44 books… though a couple are short stories/novellas.
I have much more on my computer, to the extent I don't know exactly how much I have.

I also have 4 recently purchased books sitting on my computer desk.

And I have 58 albums on here (I'm currently posting from my phone) - ogg format, my own rips.

I have no idea! Probably a dozen or so? I like to keep several different story styles around for when I'm in the mood to read one kind of story over another. And then I forget what I have sometimes... But many of them are "freebies" so it's not like I'm wasting my money on them or anything.

I have you all beat! I have 241 currently on my Kobo, with another 130 downloaded on to my laptop and ready to transfer over.

Nuh uh...might give me away!
Not read? Just one.
And this is mostly because I limit myself to $60 in books a month, and I read REALLY fast. I can go through a standard paperback in a few hours.

The most I think I've ever had, unread, was probably 5 or 6. But like I said, I read really fast so they don't stay unread for long.

Now, ask me how many books are actually on my Kindle.

I try to keep about ten unread books on my Kindle at any given time (and 2 or 3 of them on my smartphone). There are times when I've gone on downloading sprees and had 20 or more I haven't read yet on the Kindle, but my "comfort zone" is around 10.

I don't have a reader, I still read actual books.

There is something about the feel of a book and the smell of the paper that I don't think I'll ever be able to give up.

Also, I can't read on a computer for very long because I get headaches and my eyes hurt, so I don't know if I would be able to actually read using one of those readers. Before I invest money into something like that I'd want to try one out for a period of time. No sense spending money on something that I can't or don't like to use.

105 total, 28 read...
that's on my ipod touch. I use stanza and have my own rips too converted in a long and complicated way, so even though I have an ipad now I'm just going to go through what I have on my ipod touch first since it will take a long time to transfer to the ipad, since the format is different..
On my ipad I have a few books as well, I'd say about 5...

I hate reading on a computer screen, especially books. But I LOVE my Kindle. The e-Ink technology that they use for the screens of the eReaders makes it easy for someone to read and read for hours like with real books, without the eye strain. Also the size and shape, as well as adding a cover, give you the feel of a real book. Those were all what made my decision for me.

I've yet to get eye strain from my Kindle, and I read a LOT.

I think my favorite part of having the Kindle is that I can easily keep my entire library with me, so if I'm stuck somewhere, I always have something to do. I have my iPod, and have the Kindle and Nook apps on it, but it's not nearly as nice to my eyes as the Kindle.
