I'm new to the forum and just wanted to say hi to all! I love animals and have had all kinds over the years. Right now I have 26 cats, all strays or ferals. I have 7 inside and 19 that live in two huge screened porches outside, with a tunnel so they can go from one to the other. I have always taken in strays and had my first experience with a feral mama and her five kittens about nine years ago, all of which have been in the house for the past seven years. I never intended to have this many, but when my mom was very sick and required 24/7 care from me, I couldn't devote the time to catch a feral that was hanging around and have her fixed. She had several litters, and another one that came along had a litter. It was a horrible situation, but my moms illness and eventual passing were my top priority. I eventually caught all of them and had them fixed and they are now living happily in their outside house! They are a handful, but one I wouldn't know what to do without! I'm looking forward to participating in the forum!

**26**????? Oh my! They must DEFINITELY be a handful, but it sounds like you have a wonderful set up for them!

I'd love to see pictures, and I'm sure that's something everyone else will echo!

Thank you all for your welcomes to the board. If I ever figure out how to use the pic section, I'll try to put some in. Actually My4LLMA, my mother passed away, but thanks for the thought anyway. I'm really enjoying the site and hope to get to know everyone better.

Welcome to TCS! As I'm sure you'll come to see, this really is a fantastic site full of amazing people who all have one major thing in common -- their love for all things feline. And, with 26 kitties of your own, I can hardly imagine you not loving cats and all of the quirky, funny, and haplessly adorable traits that come with them!

I, too, am very sorry to read of your mother's passing. May she continue to rest in peace. I admire your dedication to her as well as to the cats under your care during that difficult time. And, despite the fact that you did have some litters born, there is no doubt that you've done right by all of your kitties. Your set-up sounds quite remarkable and having 26 spayed or neutered cats is no small feat. And, what's more is that they all sound as though their thriving and doing well. When and if you get time, I know I, for one, would love to see photos of your screened enclosures (and pics of the kitties themselves are a must as well). I certainly hope to hear more about your crew as well as about you in the future. We're glad you found us here on the web. TCS really is a wonderful site -- I hope you'll enjoy your time here as much as I enjoy mine. Welcome, welcome, welcome!

Thanks so much for everyone's warm words and welcomes! What a great bunch of people. I am trying to build websites and am blogging to make money, so I don't visit as often as I'd like to. I spend all my time on the other things, but I just wanted to say that I will come here as often as I can. I'm also going to work on the pics sometime in the future. Thanks to all of you!
