Morning

Well, I just watched Paranormal Activity 2 tonight and I was very disappointed. I thought it was terrible. But it got me thinking:

Do you believe in ghosts, spirits, specter, demons, etc.?

I do to some degree, but I'm also very skeptical. If something is moved by some unseen force for example, I'll try to logically figure it out. I don't immediately think "ghost".

I do.

I don't believe in ghosts like Casper or like flying sheets dragging chains, but I believe sometimes spirits linger.
Close to me is Colossal Cave. Many Native Americans as well as other unfotunate cave climbers have died there. I swear up and down I can feel them.

I believe theres something to it but sometimes i wonder if we see things and feel things because we want to and its our mind playing tricks on us

but i have seen some excellent documentries that really do make you think there could well be ghosts/spirits

I do believe there's more after we die. Maybe I just can't bear the thought of death being "The End", of everything that we were just being gone.

Having said that, I cannot watch those 'ghost hunter' type shows on tv; they totally creep me out, and I can't sleep afterwards. On the other hand, my favorite place in my city is the old cemetery down the street; I walk there all the time.

I absolutely do. Mom's family grew up in a haunted house and the whole family has stories to tell. Also there is supposed to be a ghost of an old lady here in the duplex we live in. My aunt, who lives in the other side, has a friend who has apparently always been able to see spirits and mentioned to my aunt that she saw an old lady when she stayed over one night. I guess the duplex was built and first owned by 2 elderly sisters. We've experienced a few things ourselves, but nothing to majorly freak us out thankfully.

I do believe there are spirits but if I think to deeply about it, I get myself freaked out!!! I remember when my hubby's mother died about five years ago and I couldn't make it in time to the hospital, it was out-of-state and I was devastated that I couldn't have gotten there to say goodbye. For about seven days after her death, I felt a presence with me all the time. I can't explain it, it was like someone was watching me. After one week, that feeling was gone, just POOF, gone. Very wierd experience for me...

I do believe in ghosts and spirits but don't know for sure if I've ever seen one. I do think they're out there tho.

Demons are real. As for ghosts, I am not sure. I have seen some things for which there were no explanation. The most recent was I have my dad's guitar. Just recently I found a thumb pick on the floor next to it. It was not mine. I had never seen it before. There is no reasonable explanation where it came from unless my dad dropped it there. He died two years ago.

But for some reason I am still convinced that cats understand what you are saying no matter what language you are using. So I guess that makes me the weirdest.

I believe demons are real. . .and that "ghosts" are demons messing with people. I don't believe any of that is harmless. I don't watch movies or shows that glorify the demons by giving them attention.

How about trying to get to sleep when you're not being left alone? It was like a three year old kid. I had to sleep with headphones+music because it was so noisy and I still had to go to school.
I was annoyed, but unharmed.
I don't choose to hang around cemeteries. The last house I lived it wasn't very far away from one and I'm convinced stuffed passed through occasionally (since the house itself felt empty).

I believe in the spiritual sons of Jehovah, the one he made by his hand, Jesus Christ who now and for billions of years has sat by his side excepting the time he was a man down yonder here. I believe Satan who was once a spiritual son of Jehovah in the heavens with Jehovah now rules the system of things here in this Earth (exactly as it says in the Bible) 2 Cor. 4:4; 1 Cor. 10:20 - I could go on, but I don't allow any darkness in where there is always the light of Jehovah.

(yeah, okay - long answer, but you asked . . .)

I've seen too many things not to believe in something. I guess I do believe in spirits, not necessarily ghosts per se.

My best friend is a pastor in a Pentecostal church and some of the stories he has told me about demons and exorcisms are enough to make one's hair stand on end. We've also gotten into some good discussions because he is so religious and I'm more of an agnostic, I guess you could say.

I can watch Ghost Hunters when I'm alone in the house, largely because they never really find anything. There's always a lot of hype right before the commercial, only to find out that it's a bat or spider or something. Or "Something just touched my hair!" from Kris.

Paranormal State on A & E, however, scared the crap out of me. They were really into the demonic stuff and no way would I watch it when I was spending the night alone. I don't PS is on tv anymore.

My parents were Pentecostals and were convinced I was full of demons. They took me to the "revival" meeting where I was pushed down onto the sawdust floor and everybody in that tent swear they saw demons pouring out of me.

I have no other comment other than go see "Clockwork Orange" some day. You will find out about being truly cured. Oh, and see "Elmer Gantry", which when I told my step-dad that they were the same, he kicked me out of the house.

I also believe that we're not the only life force in the entire universe, either.

I had that happen to me after my grandma passed. I went to see her at the hospital but didn't make it there in time: I was there right after she passed though, and I swear I felt her presence. It's hard to explain, but after she left I naturally started bawling: it felt like she was there giving me a big hug, and trying to comfort me. A feeling of peace came over me, like she was trying to tell me that everything was okay and she was at peace.

I remember when I was around 14 and we lived in this big old farmhouse: we lived downstairs and there was another family living upstairs. We would hear things when those people weren't home - like people walking around up there, and footsteps coming down the back stairway and opening the connecting door.
The lady who lived up there said she saw the ghost once after her dog started barking and freaking out over something that supposedly "wasn't there".
