I've been meaning to update on how Wendel, Sybil and Freya have integrated for awhile, but just never found the time to write the post. All in all, integration has gone pretty smoothly. Freya accepted Sybil fully from the moment we brought Wendel home because Sybil was no longer the "new cat." Freya tolerates Wendel. She doesn't love him, but she doesn't dislike him either. He and Sybil are best buds and thunder around the house playing on a regular basis.
So here's Sybil...
She really grew after the kittens were gone and is now a pretty big, fluffy cat. She seemed to revert entirely to kitten-hood the minute her babies were gone (They're all doing great and growing like weeds). I call her my "silly little thing" even though she's not so little anymore because you can really tell she wasn't raised with people - she has no idea what to do with us, she just mimics the others. She's a funny, happy, fluffy cat. You just have to look at her and she purrs. The only thing with her is that she's a bit odd...all cats look at the world a certain way...so does Sybil, she just looks about 2 ft to the left of where everyone else is looking.
Wendel is another story. He's turned out to be a perfect gentleman of a cat. He loves the girls and Sybil, at least, loves him. He's slowly getting used to us. Unfortunately something in his life seems to have taught Wendel not to trust people very much, but he's slowly coming around.
He sleeps with us at night and loves to get his pets and head-bumps. He's a chatterbox and has a funny grunt/trill that we refer to has him "grumping" at us. He loves to be with us, even if he's not so sure he wants people to touch him. Luckily he' very expressive so it's easy to tell when he's getting a bit over stimulated and you need to stop touching him for a moment.
So that's what's new on our front...thanks to anyone who read this far.
