I went to the doctor today and my blood pressure is through the roof! I'm on blood pressure medications (Avapro and HCTZ), but it still was 170/90. Which accounts for the headaches that I've been having.
A lot of it is due to the stress I'm having with my current job and the fact that I'm tied up in knots at the very thought of having to go back there.
He added Adalat to my daily medications, and gave me a note for an extended 2 weeks off for stress leave, because I'm so stressed out that I was a puddle of tears in his office.
I don't know if I'm going to take the time or not. He's leaving it to my discretion.
I don't care if I burn the bridge where I am currently working, but I also don't want to affect my ability to get another job right now because I'm on a medical leave.
However, once I do have a job, I will give my notice and then I'll likely take time off for medical until I start the new job.
I don't plan on using my currently employer as a reference, because I have nothing good to say about that place, so that's why I don't care if I burn the bridge. My sister-in-law told me that I can fill in the "gap" in my employment by saying I had taken time off of work to help look after her (she's battling stage IV renal cancer).
