Walt being his normal self

After some tests (we're still unsure as to what it is but the fantastic news is we've ruled out cancer and most autoimmune diseases! He's inside only by the way.
)

Here's Henry snuggled in bed with a good book and having a snooze...And finally, I sneaked a picture of the best of friends when they thought I wasn't watching

We'll be getting a second white cat. He has a bit of brain damage and is deaf but he has the most beautiful nature.

You can buy them the cutest most fancy beds but at the end of the day...If the shoe fits..Wear it. (Taken today)

Also I just thought this photo of Henry was hilarious. I dreamed of Paris again last night...

Your boys are beautiful... I am wondering tho' if that sore on Walt's face is Calici. I have seen other cats with Calici get those nasty blistering sores... Boy I hope not because it's catching to other cats.

Love the pics of him stuffed into the box!

Wel I'm not very good with vet lingo so I don't know what that is sorry *blushes*

We've done blood tests and he's had cortizone. Originally his nose and tongue was extremely ulcerated -MUCH worse than what you see here- and our vet gave him two weeks of corizone. It made the ulcers all go away but he still had those nasty patches on his nose and near his ears. We did a blood test and ruled out some forms of cancer and the autoimmune disease we were concerned about. They did a skin scrape of his nose, put him on some medicated food and we're weaning him off the corizone. The vet is pretty sure it's an allergy of some sort that we're struggling to detect and nothing too serious. However if this food doesn't help him heal in a few weeks he'll have a biopsy just to be sure.

Hope that made sense!

Calici virus is nasty business and can cause the kind of ulcers you describe. It's often inside the mouth, too. But I am not a vet and yes, allergies can generate some serious rash-type stuff, too.

Here is more info on calici:

Here is a very bad case of calici pulled from a shelter in NYC:

I hope you can see this photo album... especially the first pic. Garfield was soooo sick.

I couldn't open the Facebook links sorry

I had a good read, I don't think that's Walt, other than the ulcerations there isn't any similarity..I will be keeping a lookout though just in case. Thank you for the information!

That's ok.. you probably would have to be friends with her.... But in the pics this cat had nasty ulcerations/blisters on his nose and the skin on the area between the nose and mouth. Diagnosed as calici.

I certainly hope it isn't b/c it's nasty.
