I've been trying to get Luna and Midnight to wear their collars since they were 12, and 3 weeks old. Luna eventually didn't mind it, but Midnight would take her collar off of her. He'd also fight his collar, and get it stuck in his mouth 
. So we gave up on the collars for awhile. Last night just to see what they would do, we put their new collars on them. So far they both seem to have accepted it. Luna just walked away looking mad, but didn't fight it. Midnight fought it for a few minutes, then just seemed to accept it, and go on his way. So far they've managed to keep their collars on. 
I've already told them they've got 2 choices 1. They can wear their collars with pride 2. They can wear their collars.
Lynxx never fought his collar, put his first 1 on at 8 weeks old, and he loved it. Each season he got a new 1, and didn't mind it. He even walked around showing it off.
