Me and Carson

Hey all! Thought I'd stop in and introduce myself. I've been a cat lover and owner most of my life. My current "owner" is Carson, a 3 year old black male mix that is the love of my life. Carson came to me through a friend that was fostering him. I took one look in his dark green eyes and fell big time. He's a true cat. Independent. Curious. Territorial. Loving. His fur is the softest and most slick I've ever seen on a cat. He frequently reminds me of an otter with the way he lays and cleans his paws. He also has dog qualities, like when he carries his toys in his mouth. Don't know what I'd do without him.

Does Carson make a weird meow when carrying his toys? Then drop them and rip at them? I have one cat like that; a worbly meow while carrying ("red bear"), drops him in the living room and goes at him. His favorite toy! lol!

Hi! A big welcome from me and my four kitties to you and Carson. As you'll come to see, TCS is a wonderful site full of information and fun. It's really been a fabulous place for me to come and discuss cat care as well as issues going on with my other pets and even regarding my personal life. And, dare I say it, I'd be lost without this site and the people within it!

Carson sounds like a beautiful (erm, handsome?) kitty. Black cats definitely have a way about them. I, personally, was never attracted to them, but my mind has been changed after seeing the amazing black kitties here on TCS. Their personalities are unique despite their coloring being the same. And, while I initially felt that their dark color and lack of pattern took away from their beauty and personality, I certainly do not feel that way anymore. And, who knows, maybe a black kitty will adopt me one day?!

I look forward to getting to know you and Carson better. And, we're big proponents of pictures here. So, please, whenever you're able, I know we'd all like to see Mr. Carson in all his handsomeness. He sounds like such a wonderful cat -- and you'd be surprised to know how many kitties enjoy carrying toys around and playing fetch! Even so, though, I can't wait to see Carson in action. And, I look forward to talking with you in the future as well. TCS really is an awesome place. It's my internet home. Welcome!
