Not as surprising as we'd think! DH is one; he's worse than me when it comes to cute, fuzzy little kitties! Actually, that's what I adore about most of the Marines I've ever met (and sometimes dated)--fine, tough men, with a marshamallow side. The perfect man. Sigh....

It's nice when guys have a sensitive side. That's why I was so attracted to my boyfriend. He's very assertive and wont take it from anyone, but he's also very sweet (especially to animals!) I loved that about him.

Wonderful! I always knew that the men and women who defend innocent civilians would protect ALL lives, not just human. Thanks for sharing!

I love seeing and reading about the rescues. It seems that each time I see something about it, there is a little more that has been done, more kittens rescued. It is wonderful.
I drive my cab on Camp Lejeune, Camp Johnson, and MCAS (Marine Corps Air Station) at New River, and am constantly seeing Marines and cats hanging around. Apparently the cats have become part of the eco system, and is helping keep the vermin population down.
Thanks for finding and sharing more info about our Marines and their cats.
