Bobber

Bobber crossed over to the rainbow bridge this afternoon.

She was a fighter and hung on as long as possible but too many tumours were destroying her body. She survived breast cancer for over 2 1/2 years.

She was a barn kitty from one of my SIL's farm. They knew this tiny calico bobtail was special and would have a better chance off the farm. She was shy and hid from most visitors. She did get used to my parents and my sister.

After I lost sheba, Bobber before the queen of the house. She was about 7# on average, many people if they saw her asked how old our kitten was!

She a was huntress supreme though and keep our yard and two of our neighbor's yard clear of voles, meadow mice and gophers. She loved bringing her catches to show and share with us!

Our 15 year okld Grizzlie was her special soul mate cat. They slept together most nights in the kitty sofa though she distanced herself from Grizzlie in the past couple of weeks. Grizzlie has always been the best momma kitty.

I carried Bobber outside and let her on the grass a few minutes before her last trip to the vet. She was a bit wobbly but sit down under an apple tree so that is where I buried her. She loved the outdoors I think she will like her final resting spot as well as the favorite toys I buried her with.

I don't think I have too many tears left to shed as its been a tough few days.

I already miss her chirpy meows and the mystery toys in the hallway and on the bed. She had an expression on her face was when was really happy and of course she drooled!

Play happy at the rainbow bridge Bobber.

I'm so sorry, Gail. I know how much you were dreading this day.

Rest peacefully, Bobber. Find Maverick for me, and tell him how much I miss & love him.

Thanks you all for your kind words. Today was the first day I haven't cried though I have teared up many times. Tomorrow will be a tough day at work though with co-workers asking questions.

Grizzlie is lonely still, hoping she will become more friendly soon. I guess she is grieving as well.
