Question about former queen,esp Siamese

who was bred multiple times (5-6 litters) in about 2 1/2 years??

Here is little background on TT seal point siamese the (former queen in question) When i bought her she was living with 22++ cats, at least 15+ males all locked in on room when i can by, a few younger males out and the rest was females. The house stank like the cats had been spraying all over the place and poo.

When i first met her i nearly died

Her fur on on either side was nearly all gone bald in some areas, flea bites everywhere. When i questioned the breeder she said "her fur is dry that's why it fallen out........uh, huh"

Stupid me i paid her the full asking price and ran out the door with TT, straight to the vet and she was treated for flea allergy dermatitis. The flea treatment worked perfectly and her is now fully grown back.

Also TT has had many other health problems, for now she is in pretty good health.

About 6 months later i saw the cattery was shutting down and i saw a chocolate point (female, 18 months) that i wanted to get out of there. Contacted the breeder and told her all of TT's health problems and the $$$ i had put into getting her treated, and will keep on doing until she dies.

Breeder was all shocked by the flea allergy dermatitis She claimed she never had a problem nor did the cats go out, found out later in the convo she lied, she said " they are allowed in the backyard but i treat it with some kind of powder to keep the fleas away"

Point being: TT is quite dominent over her *house*

Misty is quite nervous...TT had not allowed Misty on her *turf*

What we have worked out is this......Misty is in our bedroom during the day with the door open, she is free to come out, the upstairs and our bedroom is *hers*
Misty will not allowed TT in our room.

TT will not allow Misty downstairs during daylight hours.
COme the evening after meal time TT is in the basement til morning.
Then and only then will Misty come downstairs on her own and hang out with us.

I know i will have to re-introduce and do it slowly, no problem.

But i have never seen any of my siamese being so territoral!
Has anyone else seen this in female/former queen??

My mother's siamese was a former breeding queen, and once retired, she quite litterally would try to kill any cat that even came into her yard.
She says all 3 of her retired queens ended up like that.

Yikes!!

TT will sit there waiting, waiting very quietly staring at Misty the entire time almost daring Misty to make a move so she can attack her.

Misty tho gets fed up of being bullied and whoop her mama butt all over town, then and only will TT back of for awhile and leave Misty alone for weeks or months at a time.

Yes, I've seen that. Polly and Molly's grandmother (Maya) ended up sort of a bully. She was in indoor/outdoor cat with a preference for the outdoors, and would not let any of the other cats near her favorite napping spots on the porch, and sometimes would not let them go out or come back in at all. Her worst enemy ended up being her daughter (my girls' mom, Callie).

I see she WERE a real backyard breeder!
Not only by your descripion reading between the lines, but also in her own words!

I strikes me, TT fur problems were perhaps not in first hand flea dermititis, it may have mostly been a stress symptome. Too many cats in a too little area.

So. Good you did organized your house so there is place for two different territories - in room and in time.
This trick is common enough to let two more or less hostile cats live in the same flat. Them perhaps never becoming real pals, but they can manage and they can coexist.

Feliway adapter - or preferably 2 - one for each.
Soft music - harp is best, as LDG learns us. But any soft calming music will be better than nothing.
Dr Bach drops may get useful.
Make sure they have something to do, especielly TT.
And the slow reintroduction as you yourself say.

By the way. Our neighbours female Maya is very defensive. We do often hear her shrieking and fighting. But it is seldom her who is challenging others - she simply does defend her territory around their house. And she is now spayed since long...
Yet, they got another female, Missan. They are good pals, not best friends but pals. And hear: in the fall there come a poor, sick homeless to them. The friendly neighbour did gave shelter and medical treatment to this homeless. Who choosed to be indoors only kitten.
But the interesting in this story, the super defensive Maya did allowed her to both come in, and to stay. No visible friendship, she doesnt bother, but she did allowed the newcomer.

Good luck!

Here's the kicker, we are moving June 1st to another city 3 hours away.
Our new place is all on one level, my DH is going ahead May 1st and we will settle in June 1st.

What we may do is send DH and Misty together this way it allows Misty to *set up her own turf* keep TT in our bedroom and allow her limited access to the house and Misty.
