Awwwww!!! I wish I could understand what the people were saying! That sweet kitty!!

The kitty was crying and no one went to pick it up?! I hope the actual news clip showed someone actually approaching the cat to rescue it.

Well the kitty might have run in fear if they weren't careful how they approached it after all it had been through! I'm sure someone rescued it or it wouldn't have been news worthy.

I'll have to make my b-f in Japan cry first since I couldn't watch on this computer but did manage find the below transcript and background piece. Meeeeeow, meeeeow!!! Poor Non-non, but now he’s safe!! Prayers of healing and strength to Japanese people and animals. ....


A woman returned to her house that was devastated by the earthquake and tsunami to look for her cat.

She was shocked by the damage in the house as she was rummaging through the rubble. While she was talking to the reporter, a miracle happened. Her cat came out from the stairs and started meowing.

Non-non the cat was hiding upstairs when the tsunami hit. The little one survived.

Though the kitty was still a little shaking and overwhelmed by the whole disaster and afraid to come back downstairs, it was absolutely heart-warming and hopeful to know that Non-non made it safe.

Rough Translation:

Voiceover: After the earthquake, the citizens return to their changed town.

Woman: I had a cat, and when the tsunami came, I looked for it. But I couldn’t find it, so I had to escape.

Voiceover: When they go into the house…

Man: So what was this room?

Woman: This was the dining room.

Man: That’s a tree from outside?

Woman: Yeah, that’s amazing…

Woman: Ah! The cat’s alive! I can hear it!

Man: That’s great! It looks like it escaped to the second floor when the tsunami came....

oh my goodness. traumatized kitty. i bet she never climbed so high in her entire life.

He was terrified enough before the camera arrived. But all is well that ends well. May it be for all the animals of Japan. A picture of the happy reunion.

oh my!... is a miracle!....

That is unbelievable, the poor cat must have been so scared. I am so worried for all the cats that are not so lucky.

I don't see a pic of the reunion. All I see below the article is a pic I saw last week of another woman carrying her cat down the street?
