Ewww,Ewww Lice!!

Hi!

Newbie here i just love, love this site!

This morning i was snuggled up with my meezer Misty when the phone rang, DH answered and all i heard was "oh really long pause, Ok i'll be right there"
I dragged my self downstairs only to wake to "Kristina has lice!!" Wonderful!!

I.hate.lice. No i take that back I.loathe.lice.

No big deal just a pain in the butt to take care of.

It just the nits we found on Kristina and not many at all!

Still had to use lice shampoo and then part,comb,part comb,part comb her long wavy hair for close to 2 hours

Good news is she can go back to school on Monday.

Glad its not so bad. I have been lucky that neither one of my kids have ever got lice.

Oh ewwww.

My 16 year old TEENAGER had that last year. Talk about freaking out. She thought she'd done something wrong. About the only way we could think of that she got them is that she'd forgotten her coat in class- it wound up in the lost and found for a few days- and that's how she got it.

Poor kid. She has thick long hair and combing out nits was a pain in the you-know what.

And washing everything she'd come in contact with was a pain too. The darn washing machine was on it's last legs and doing a zillion loads of laundry with hot water just put it over the edge

At least we caught it early and it wasn't bad. But she wound up having an allergic reaction to the bites- she had big welts on her scalp from them that took a couple of weeks to go away (she had her hair cut after treatment was done and the hairdresser noticed the welts, but no nits or lice anywhere)

I feel your pain.
